World AIDS Day Programme
A World AIDS Day programme was organized at Anurag College of Pharmacy, Warthi, on 10 December 2025 in the Seminar Hall, based on the theme “Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response.”
The event began with the Arrival of Guests and Lighting of the Lamp.
Dr. Sachin W. Lohe (HOD) delivered the introductory address, followed by an insightful talk by Dr. Pushpahas M. Ballal (Professor) on HIV/AIDS awareness.
Guest Speaker Mr. Santosh Bhure (Counsellor, PHC Lakhandur) guided students on transmission, prevention, myths, facts, and the importance of early testing and counselling. Students also presented short speeches promoting social responsibility and stigma reduction.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. Sanjay P. Wate (Director), motivating students to participate in health awareness initiatives.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Nishant A. Dokarimare (Assistant Professor), followed by the National Anthem.
The event successfully enhanced awareness about HIV/AIDS and encouraged responsible health practices among students.

🌿 Medsafety Week 2025 Initiative
The Anurag College of Pharmacy, Warthi, Tal. Mohadi, Dist. Bhandara, in collaboration with the Drug Information Centre of the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council, Mumbai, successfully organized the Medsafety Week 2025 initiative on Thursday, 6th November 2025, at Defence Services Junior College, Shahapur, Dist. Bhandara.
The primary objective of this initiative was to create awareness among students and healthcare professionals about medicine safety, reporting of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs), and the importance of pharmacovigilance.
The program commenced with the arrival of guests followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony.
Later, Dr. Sachin Lohane, Professor, Anurag College of Pharmacy, Warthi, Bhandara, delivered an insightful presentation on “Medicine Safety and the Role of Pharmacists.”
Mr. Dhananjay Joshi, Vice President, Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council, Mumbai, shared valuable information about various initiatives undertaken by the Council to strengthen pharmacovigilance practices.
Towards the end, Dr. Pushphas Ballal, Professor, Anurag College of Pharmacy, Warthi, Bhandara, and Former Assistant Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration (M.S.), guided the audience on the ethical responsibilities of pharmacists and the importance of awareness in medicine use.
The event received an enthusiastic response from around 1,400 students and faculty members, making the initiative both successful and inspiring.
Heartfelt thanks to all the dignitaries, organizers, and participants for their active involvement and contribution to the success of this event.

Awareness Program on “Medicine Safety and Pharmacovigilance” – Medsafety Week 2025

An awareness program under Medsafety Week 2025 was successfully organized by Anurag College of Pharmacy, Warthi, Tal. Mohadi, Dist. Bhandara, in collaboration with the Drug Information Centre, Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council, on 6th November 2025 at Zilla Parishad School, Warthi.
The event aimed to spread awareness about medicine safety, Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reporting, and the importance of Pharmacovigilance among students and healthcare workers.
💊 Ms. Rupali Humne, Lecturer, and Mr. Gaurav Badwaik, Assistant Professor, delivered insightful sessions on the role and ethical responsibilities of pharmacists and the safe use of medicines.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 70 students and faculty members, making it an enlightening and inspiring initiative.
Heartfelt thanks to Mr. Vijay Hatwar, Headmaster, Z.P. School Warthi, for his valuable support and cooperation.

Medsafety Week 2025
An awareness program under Medsafety Week 2025 was successfully organized by Anurag College of Pharmacy, Warthi, Bhandara, in collaboration with the Drug Information Centre, Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council, on 8th November 2025 at Saraswati Junior College, Mohadi.
The session aimed to create awareness among students about the safe and responsible use of medicines, Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reporting, and the importance of Pharmacovigilance.
Ms. Vidya Kukde, Lecturer, Anurag College of Pharmacy, guided the students on “Medicine Safety and the Role of Pharmacists.”
Around 85 students and faculty members actively participated, making the event successful, informative, and inspiring.

🌍💊 Medsafety Week 2025 – Awareness Program on “Medicines Safety for Our Community” 💊🌍
As part of the Global MedSafety Week 2025 Initiative, Anurag College of Pharmacy, Warthi, Bhandara organized an Awareness Program on “Medicines Safety for Our Community” at Shirdi Sai Public School, Mouda, Nagpur.
The objective of the program was to spread awareness about the safe and responsible use of medicines and to emphasize the importance of reporting Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI).
The session was conducted by Ms. Pooja S. Kothekar and Ms. Priyanka L. Mokharkar, faculty members of Anurag College of Pharmacy, in the presence of Dr. R. K. Sharma, Principal, Shirdi Sai Public School.
During the interactive session, 86 students learned about the correct storage and consumption of medicines, the dangers of misuse and overuse, and the crucial role of consumers and healthcare professionals in ensuring medicine safety. Real-life examples and engaging discussions helped students understand the importance of checking expiry dates, following prescriptions, and consulting qualified medical professionals.
The session received an enthusiastic response from both students and teachers, successfully raising awareness about pharmacovigilance and inspiring young learners to become responsible medicine users.

The *MedSafety Week 2025 Campaign* was successfully organized by Anurag College of Pharmacy, Warthi, Tah. Mohadi, Dist. Bhandara, in collaboration with the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council’s Drug Information Centeron Thursday, 8th November 2025, at SUNFLAG School, Bhandara.

The main objective of this initiative was to create awareness among students and healthcare personnel about medicine safety, adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting, and the importance of pharmacovigilance.

On this occasion, Mr. Dineshkumar Lende, Associate Professor, Anurag College of Pharmacy, Warthi, Bhandara, delivered an insightful session on Medicine Safety and the Role of Pharmacists in Pharmacovigilance. He emphasized the importance of safe and rational use of medicines, identification of adverse reactions, and the pharmacist’s contribution to patient-centered healthcare.

The event was graced by Mr. Sumitkumar Pandey Principal, SUNFLAG School, Bhandara, whose constant support and guidance contributed to the success of the program.
The program was efficiently coordinated by Mrs. Badwaik Madam Teacher and Event Coordinator, SUNFLAG School, Bhandara.

A total of 116 students and faculty members actively participated in this awareness campaign, making it an engaging, informative, and inspiring session.
