Being a MedicalYoga therapist means you don’t just “teach poses.”You learn to hold space for people in pain.
My students are not just students. They become part of my family. They can call me anytime with doubts, cases, confusion, or questions. We discuss students, sequencing, modifications, pain patterns, emotional states, and practical solutions.
That is how a therapist grows.
Lenka came from the Czech Republic and lived with me for 2 months after her MedicalYoga teacher’s training — simply to practice, observe, assist, and understand how therapy actually works with real students.
Because honestly…what can truly happen in one month?
Yes, I can teach you:• techniques• anatomy and therapy principles• modifications• sequencing• the “why” behind every movement• how to assess students• how to work safely
But becoming a therapist happens only through PRACTICE.
You must:• observe real cases• assist during therapy sessions• volunteer• stay present with people in pain• learn how to respond in real time
Students rarely come with “just one problem.”
A student may come with:• spine pain + anxiety• thyroid issues + obesity• PCOS + depression• cardiac conditions + stiffness• digestive issues + sleep disorders
How do you design a class for THAT student? How do you modify instantly? How do you make every student feel safe in the same class?
That is the real learning.
No two therapy classes are ever the same.Every student needs different support, different sequencing, different awareness.
And as a yoga teacher, even if you never plan to become a therapist, students with medical conditions WILL come to your class.
You must know:• what not to do• what to modify• how to support safely• how to build confidence in a student who comes to you in pain
This is what you learn when you come and study, assist, practice, and grow with me.
Not just yoga teaching.Clinical understanding.Precision.Confidence.Compassion.Application.
That is MedicalYoga.
