Some institutions are not just hospitals — they are guardians of history, values, and humanity.
When our Group CEO, Dr. Sujit Paul, addressed the students of the Institute Of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research and SSKM Hospital Kolkata, he stood before a legacy that has served the people of Bengal and India for over two centuries. SSKM Hospital has a legacy of medical research, including the work of Sir Ronald Ross, who studied the malarial parasite cycle there.
In his words, “Every ward, every corridor of SSKM carries the footsteps of doctors who chose service over comfort, compassion over convenience, and values over shortcuts.”
Speaking to the future healers of our nation, Dr. Paul reminded them that medicine is more than a profession — it is a sacred trust.
- A trust built on ethics, where every decision must honor the dignity of life.
-A trust rooted in values, where empathy and integrity matter as much as knowledge.
-A trust carried forward by history, where SSKM has stood as a beacon of service for generations.
He urged the students to not just learn medicine, but to live its spirit — to be leaders who heal with both science and soul.
SSKM’s story is not only of the past; it is the responsibility of its students to carry its flame into the future. 🌍✨
