UNITS AVAILABLE
The ResMed Stellar 150 is a versatile and compact ventilator designed for both non-invasive (NIV) and invasive ventilation for adults and children (weighing 13 kg and above). It is suitable for use in both hospital and home environments.
Key features and technologies
Ventilation Modes: Offers a range of modes including CPAP, S, ST, PAC, T, and iVAPS (intelligent Volume-Assured Pressure Support) with AutoEPAP.
iVAPS (Intelligent Volume-Assured Pressure Support): This technology automatically adjusts pressure support and EPAP to maintain a consistent alveolar ventilation target, adapting to the patient's changing needs.
AutoEPAP: Helps maintain upper airway patency.
TiControl™: Allows precise control over inspiratory time for optimal patient comfort and ventilation efficiency.
Vsync: ResMed's leakage management technology.
Learn Circuit: Automatically tests and compensates for changes in circuit impedance, ensuring accurate pressure delivery at the mask and proper monitoring.
Pressure Range: IPAP (Inspiratory Positive Airway Pressure) up to 40 cm H₂O and EPAP (Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure) up to 25 cm H₂O.
Oxygen Delivery: Can deliver up to 30 L/min of supplemental oxygen.
Mobility: Lightweight (2.1 kg) with an internal battery providing up to 2 hours of power. External battery options are also available for extended usage, providing up to 8 hours of battery life.
Monitoring and Data Management: Offers real-time monitoring of tidal volume, minute ventilation, leak, and SpO₂ (with compatible pulse oximeters). Stores therapy data (365-day summary, 7-day high resolution) accessible via ResScan software and SD card.
Humidification: Compatible with ResMed's H4i or H5i heated humidifiers.
Alarms: Includes adjustable alarms (High Leak, Low Minute Ventilation, Low/High Pressure, Low/High Respiratory Rate, Apnoea, Low/High FiO2, Low SpO2, Non-vented mask) and standard fixed alarms (Circuit disconnected, Over pressure, Blocked tube, Internal battery empty).
Clinical applications
The Stellar 150 is suitable for patients with chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD, neuromuscular diseases (NMD), and obesity hypoventilation syndrome (OHS). It is indicated for non-dependent, spontaneously breathing adult and pediatric patients (weighing 13 kg and above) with respiratory insufficiency or respiratory failure, with or without obstructive sleep apnea.
