I just want to share some brief knowledge about hearing loss and hearing Aid..I hope you will like it. Also,I request you to give your feedback so that we can make it better to help.
The hearing loss is the loss that is difficult to recover to natural .regardless of age,it may occur to anyone..we find even the kids suffering from hearing loss . But most commonly it is found in the age group of 50+ due to aging effect.
The reason of hearing loss may be genetic,it may be due to any accident, it may be due to aging effect or it may be due to loud music through headphones for long time.
It becomes very difficult to communicate when you do not listen properly. people starts isolating themselves due to lack confidence because they can not respond properly. For working people, It creates problem at the work place. And there are lot of effects in social life as well.
The only way to overcome the hearing loss is to use a hearing aid. it helps you to listen better. it improves your social life bringing the confidence back.
Techonology wise there are two types of hearing Aids
1 analog : not programmable
2 digital : has to be programmed according to the loss
Cosmetically it is divided in three categories
1 BTE ( BEHIND THE EAR)
2 RIC ( RECEIVER IN THE CANAL)
3 CIC,IIC,ITC ( INSERTED IN THE EAR, ALMOST INVISIBLE)
According to the hearing loss,and comfort level,we can choose the hearing aid from the large range and brands available..
But as we know, prevention is always better than cure so
Just love your hearing,listen for the life.
