Case of Psoriasis with Insulin Resistance – A Holistic Homeopathic Recovery Story
A 21-year-old young woman came to me with psoriasis patches all over her body, persisting for almost 10 years.
She had tried multiple treatments over the years but found no lasting relief — in fact, the dry, scaly patches had gradually increased.
On detailed case-taking, I found underlying insulin resistance and vitamin D deficiency, both of which can significantly interfere with skin healing and immune balance.
After analyzing the totality of symptoms, I prescribed a single dose of Sulphur, followed by Sac Lac as placebo support.
Progress:
After 1 month, she reported about 40% improvement in her skin condition — reduced itching, dryness, and scaling.
I repeated the dose after 40 days.
After 3 months, her skin showed around 80% recovery, with visible reduction in lesions and marked improvement in overall vitality.
In parallel, I advised:
Vitamin D3 (60K IU weekly) along with Calcium supplementation
A customized low glycemic, anti-inflammatory diet plan to manage insulin resistance
Key Insight:
Low Vitamin D levels and insulin resistance often act as hidden barriers to the cure of chronic skin diseases like psoriasis. Addressing these underlying metabolic factors can greatly enhance the effectiveness of homeopathic treatment.
Holistic healing is about treating the person, not just the disease.
