थायरॉइड ग्रंथि गले में तितली के आकार की एक ग्रंथि है जो थायरॉइड हॉर्मोन बनाती है। इसमें होने वाले अधिकतर कैंसरों के प्रकार का इलाज ऑपरेशन एवं रेडियोडाइन थेरेपी से संभव है। अन्य अंगों के कैंसर की तुलना में संपूर्ण इलाज के बाद थायरॉइड कैंसर से मुक्त लंबे जीवन की संभावना रहती है।
