It’s an honour and a delight to get the invitation to speak at the national level , to take the faculty lecture among gynaecologists from all over India and be recognised as an authority on the topic of my specialisation. We didn't expect this overwhelming response !!

Last week we did a zoom session on Period Positivity for early adolescents to create an openness for the "period talk" and guess what happened !!!

78 participants joining in from all over India ,appreciating the content and the format is good enough but the kids in the audience unanimously demanded that in future sessions they all want to tell their period story, this is just outrageously successful !

Kids asking to openly talk about their periods , what else does a period positivity initiative aim for ?

When everyone said no to her ,
we believed it was an opportunity to do some good work, unifying science and medical ethics for just being human.

Patient suffering from severe anaemia due to menstrual blood loss, was shunned by some because she was Hepatitis B positive .
We took it as an opportunity to bring into action our OT infection control protocols that all surgeons and ot staff are trained for.
We planned a natural or***ce surgery for her so that we don't have to cut through the abdomen and thereby reduce blood loss and give her a painless and scarless post-operative outcome.
Her uterus had grown as big as a pregnant uterus carrying 2months pregnancy.

The Case of Plastic Left in Uterus

Plastic cannula tip ~3cm long, broke during DnC for a miscarriage and it was left in the uterus at a centre in Bhopal.
Patient had 3 previous miscarriages, before this procedure and had suffered for two months with this foreign body in her uterus before coming to us

With a history of multiple miscarriages ,a foreign body cannot be left in uterus as there are chances of adhesions/inflammation in the uterus and further difficulty in carrying a pregnancy.

A foreign body retrieval was done as a day care procedure at our centre

Hysteroscopy is a modern office procedure providing assured relief in many such cases .

प्लास्टिक की नली ~ 3 सेमी लंबी, गर्भपात के लिए डीएनसी के दौरान टूट गई और इसे भोपाल के एक केंद्र में गर्भाशय में छोड़ दिया गया।
इस प्रक्रिया से पहले रोगी के 3 गर्भपात हो चुके थे, और हमारे पास आने के पहले, गर्भाशय में यह प्लास्टिक का टुकड़ा दो महीने तक था

कई गर्भपात के बाद, इस नली को गर्भाशय में नहीं छोड़ा जा सकता था क्योंकि गर्भाशय में चिपका-चिपकी की संभावना रहती है और आगे गर्भवती होने में और कठिनाई हो सकती है।

हमारे केंद्र में एक दिवसीय प्रक्रिया के रूप में इस नली को गर्भाशय से निकाला गया।

समय आ गया है आप अपने गर्भाशय पर अंधी प्रक्रियाओं के लिए ना कहें ।

हिस्टेरोस्कोपी एक आधुनिक प्रक्रिया है जो ,एक दिन भर्ती में, ऐसे कई मामलों में सुनिश्चित राहत प्रदान करती है।
