Established on 5 acres of land in May 2009, the centre has beautiful, quiet surroundings covered by lush green forests. It is situated about 16 km from Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh State, India. Goenka's visit to Bhopal in 1995 set the tone for the Dhamma Pala Vipassana Centre, which became functional in May 2009. The centre now organises all types of long and short courses regularly, except the 60-day long courses. Plans to provide separate areas and the infrastructure necessary for long courses have now been prepared, and once additional land is available, construction activities will commence. City Office

Today, 29th September 2025, we remember with gratitude, Principal Vipassana Teacher, Padma Bhushan Shri Satya Narayan Goenka, on the 12th anniversary of his passing away in 2013.

Under his vision and guidance, the Spread of Dhamma continues with more than 220 permanent Vipassana Centres and over 130 non-centers in 60 countries around the world.

May all beings be happy, be liberated!

*आनापान ध्यान साधना के कुछ लाभ:-* नियमित आनापान ध्यान साधना का अभ्यास करने से एकाग्रता बढ़ती है। स्मरण शक्ति में सुधार होता है। समझने की शक्ति बढ़ती है। मन से भय, चिंता, तनाव दूर होने लगता है। निर्णय लेने की क्षमता बढ़ती है।
*बच्चों के साथ पानी की बाटल और धूप से बचाव के लिए टोपी या कपड़ा और वर्षा हो तो छाता या रेनकोट लेकर आना है।*
बच्चों को लेकर सुबह 9.45 बजे तक केंद्र अवश्य पहुंच जाएं।

Dhamma Pala Vipassana Center, Bhopal recently conducted a Teenage Course for Girls and Boys.
The course was intended to introduce mindfulness to Teenage children at a young stage.

Dhamma Pala Vipassana Center is pleased to share about the conduct of its teenage course held on 11th May 2025!

Many young teenagers learned the practice of Anapana and more during their 7 days stay in the premises of the center.
