Good morning everyone! I hope you’re having a great week. Today let's talk about the ‘Dental Implant Procedure’.

All treatment begins with a thorough exam and consultation. Typically, the process can take from 3 to 6 months. In some cases, the process may take longer because additional treatments, such as bone grafting, may be required to build up the bone so it can support an implant. The procedure and time frame depends on several factors:

*Dental health
*Condition and quality of the jawbone
*Number of teeth involved

At ARJN Dental Care dental implant restorations usually take place over a few appointments and involve several steps:

The First Step
A dentist or oral surgeon will cut into the gum to expose the bone. One or more implants are precisely placed into the jawbone to mirror the location of the root of the missing natural tooth.

The Second Step
After appropriate healing has taken place to allow for the implant to fuse within the bone, impressions of the teeth and bite are taken to custom-fabricate a connector post or abutment, and crown.

The Final Step
At the final appointment, the oral surgeon reopens the gum to expose the implant. The abutment and crown are attached to the implant, completing the process.

Some may experience minor soreness after the dental implant procedure which can be treated with over the counter ibuprofen medication.

Dental Implant Results

You receive all the benefits of natural teeth with the dental implants. It is important to continue good oral hygiene with the implants to prevent bacteria buildup, which can cause gum disease or bone loss.

I hope you enjoyed learning about the dental implants this week.

Have a great weekend.

Thank you.

Good morning everyone! I hope you’re doing well. Let's talk about ‘Benefits of Dental Implants’ today.

We at ARJN Dental Care advise dental implants over other tooth-replacement methods as hit has many benefits:

Enhanced Esthetics
Implants are placed within the gums. The crowns that are attached to them emerge in a manner similar to a natural tooth. This offers a more realistic and natural look compared to other alternatives.

Reduction of Bone Loss
When a tooth is lost, the supporting bone structure gradually recedes over time. Dental implants integrate with the jawbone and stimulate its preservation, allowing the bone to stay healthy and intact while maintaining natural facial contours and appearance.

Preservation of Adjacent Teeth
Other methods like fixed bridges must be anchored to adjacent teeth, unnecessarily sacrificing their quality and health. Dental implants are independent and do not rely on the support of other teeth, thus providing the ability to preserve the good teeth.

Easier Eating
As the jawbone shrinks, chewing efficiency is reduced, making it difficult to eat certain foods. Dental implants can restore chewing efficiency comparable to that of natural teeth, allowing patients to eat their favorite foods with confidence and without discomfort.

I will be explaining the dental implant procedure this Friday, till then have a good time.

Thank You

Good morning everyone! I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Let's talk about the ‘Dental Implants’ this week. Today, I will be discussing “what is dental Implant and why do we need it?”. This Wednesday I will be explaining the benefits of dental implants and on Friday, I will help you understand about the dental implant procedure.

Okay, let's start!

Dental Implants are an option to replace missing teeth and provide a fixed solution to removable dentures. Dental Implants are natural-looking replacement teeth that are fixed in the jaw. Implant treatment provides an option to correct the most troublesome cases associated with missing teeth and ill-fitting dentures.

An artificial tooth root made of titanium, an implant is surgically placed into the jawbone to support tooth-replacement structures such as crowns, bridges and dentures. While the implant mimics the root of the tooth, the replacement structure looks and feels just like a natural tooth, providing you with a permanent solution that replicates the fit and feel of natural teeth.

At ARJN Dental Care, we have expert dentists to carry out the dental implant procedure.

I will be explaining the benefits of dental implants this coming Wednesday. Till then have a good time.

Thank you.

Good morning everyone! I hope you’re having a great week. Today let's talk about the ‘Recovery after a Crown Lengthening’.

After the crown lengthening procedure, the treated area will be sutured and dressed in a protective bandage to promote proper healing. It is recommended that you apply ice to the region to reduce swelling and minimize discomfort. Our periodontists at ARJN Dental Care advise you to follow a soft diet for the first few days after treatment.

You are required to return to our periodontist, 1 to 2 weeks after the procedure. At this point, the sutures will be removed and the healing process will be evaluated. The crown or filling will not be placed on the treated tooth until at least three months after the lengthening procedure to ensure that the tooth is fully healed and prepared for restoration.

Although crown lengthening is considered safe, there is some risk of infection, bleeding, and sensitivity to hot or cold food or drink.

I hope you enjoyed learning about crown lengthening this week.

Have a great weekend.

Thank you.

Good morning everyone! I hope you’re doing well.

Let's talk about the ‘Crown Lengthening Procedure’ today.

The crown lengthening procedure is performed under local anesthesia to minimize any discomfort, and takes about an hour to perform, although the time period may vary depending on the number of teeth being treated. We at ARJN Dental Care have an expert team to carry out the procedure.

During the procedure, our periodontist will make incisions in the gums to create a flap, which will allow access to the tooth root and surrounding bone. Gum tissue may then be removed to reveal enough of the tooth structure, although some cases may require bone removal as well. Bone removal is a more intricate process that involves several different surgical tools. The teeth may appear longer than usual after bone and gum removal, since more of the actual tooth is now exposed.

I will be explaining the recovery after a crown lengthening this Friday, till then have a good time.

Thank You

Good morning everyone! I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Let's talk about the ‘Crown Lengthening’ this week. Today, I will be discussing “what is a crown lengthening and why do we need it?”. This Wednesday, I will be explaining the crown lengthening procedure and on Friday, I will help you understand about the recovery after a crown lengthening.

Okay, let's start!

Crown lengthening, also known as crown exposure, is a surgical procedure performed when there is not enough exposed tooth structure to place a restoration on the tooth. This procedure removes gum tissue and/or bone to expose more of the tooth, allowing a crown or filling to be put in place. Crown lengthening is often performed after a tooth breaks off at the gum or a crown or filling is removed and the tooth underneath is significantly decayed. A decent amount of healthy tooth structure is needed in order to properly perform a restoration. You get the best treatment at ARJN Dental Care from our skillful dentist.

I will be explaining the crown lengthening procedure this coming Wednesday. Till then, have a good time.

Thank you.

Good morning everyone! I hope you’re having a great week. Today let's talk about the ‘Dental Bridge Procedure’.

At ARJN Dental Care, we take you through few steps in order to create a bridge:

First step
Your adjacent teeth must be prepared. This involves removing some of the enamel to allow room for the crown to be placed over them.

Second step
Impressions of the teeth are made. These will be sent to a laboratory so a bridge, a false tooth or pontic, and crowns can be created to fit the unique configuration of your mouth. During the 2 to 3 weeks while the bridge is being manufactured, you will be given a temporary dental bridge to protect the exposed teeth and gums.

Third step
During your next visit to our clinic, the temporary bridge will be removed and replaced with the new permanent bridge. Our dental experts will make sure the bridge fits properly and cement it to the teeth.

Recovery After a Dental Bridge Placement
Replacing missing teeth should make eating easier, but until they get used to the bridge, you are advised to eat soft food cut into small pieces. For a few weeks after receiving a bridge, it is common to experience increased sensitivity to extreme temperatures. You will also notice a difference in your speech which will become clearer with the permanent bridge in place.

Results of a Dental Bridge Placement
With good oral hygiene, a dental bridge will last from 5 to 15 years, sometimes longer. You must remember to practice proper care of the teeth and gums to prevent the build-up of bacteria and the formation of plaque. Regular visits to our clinic and cleanings will still be required.

I hope you enjoyed learning about dental bridges this week.

Thank you.
