This patient have had swelling for nearly 20 years. Despite numerous recommendations to get operated, the patient tried alternative therapy for treatment.
The patient finally decided to undergo surgery after the swelling became painful and caused difficulty in breathing and swallowing. These were the signs of malignant transformation of the swelling.
She underwent surgery where all the cancerous tissue was removed and without any complications.
She is leading a normal and cancer free life now.

A small child accidentally swallowed a 5 rupees coin and it got stuck in the throat.
It had to be removed under General Anaesthesia. The child was observed for a day and discharged in a stable condition.

Being a doctor is like computer software, which needs regular updates.
And conferences are the best way to get updated.
And if the topic is a difficult one like airway surgeries and tracheal stenosis, the conferences become a learning hub for us. Meeting with stalwarts in airway surgeries like Brigadier WVBS Ramalingam sir proved that continued learning and innovations, along with humility and empathy, is paramount in patient care.
