TREATMENT OF CHOCOLATE CYST /ENDOMETRIOMA/ ENDOMETRIOTIC CYST..

During excision surgery or cystectomy, the procedure is to remove the pathologically abnormal area or the cyst wall and healthy ovarian tissue is preserved.

Conservative procedures such as vaporisation, drainage and ablation which is suggested as an alternative. These methods may have a recurrence rate of 80-100%.

Excision surgery provides for a more favorable outcome than conservative surgery with drainage and ablation with regards to the recurrence of symptoms and endometrioma.Recurrence is very rare in expert hands because we believe that the first surgery should be the best and only surgery for the patient .
