🌟 Honoured to share a few memorable moments from INASL 2025 at Chandigarh 🌟

It was a privilege to chair multiple scientific sessions and actively engage in the rich academic discussions that make this meeting so special. I was glad to be part of the Editorial Board meetings of JCEH and IJG, contributing to the collective vision of advancing hepatology and gastroenterology research.

A particularly humbling moment was being recognized as the Best Science Editor for the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology (JCEH). This award is not just an individual milestone, but also a reflection of the collaborative spirit of my colleagues, mentors, and peers who make science stronger together.

Grateful for the opportunity, the recognition, and most importantly, the continuing journey of learning and sharing in the field of hepatology and gastroenterology. 🙏

🌍 World Organ Donation Day 2025 – “Answering The Call” 📞💚

Every day, countless lives are saved through the generosity of organ donors. This year’s theme, “Answering The Call,” reminds us that each of us has the power to respond when the need is urgent — to give the ultimate gift of life.

💡 Why it matters:
• One donor can save up to 8 lives and improve many more through tissue donation.
• The need for organs far outweighs the availability.
• Your decision today can be someone’s tomorrow.

🩺 As healthcare professionals, we witness first-hand the transformative power of organ donation. Let’s inspire our communities, dispel myths, and encourage informed choices.

📜 Take action:
✅ Register as an organ donor
✅ Share your decision with your family
✅ Spread the message

Together, let’s answer the call — because your “yes” can mean a second chance at life. 💖

🟢 World Hepatitis Day 2025
📅 July 28 | Theme: Let’s Break It Down

Today, on World Hepatitis Day, we come together to raise awareness about one of the world’s most serious and overlooked public health challenges.

This year’s theme, “Let’s Break It Down,” reminds us to simplify complex information, debunk myths, and empower individuals with the knowledge they need to protect their liver health.

🧬 Hepatitis is preventable, treatable, and in many cases, curable—but only if we take action early.

Here’s how we can break it down:

✅ Get tested if you’re at risk
✅ Get vaccinated (for Hepatitis A & 😎
✅ Know your status and treat early if positive
✅ Avoid alcohol intake, unsafe injections & unprotected s*x
✅ Consult a liver specialist if you have chronic liver issues

Let’s break down the barriers to awareness, access, and action—because every liver deserves care.

🔬 If you or your loved ones need guidance or screening, we’re here to help.

🌞 Stepping Up for Liver Health! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️💚
Global Fatty Liver Day | Morning Walkathon 2025

This morning, we took powerful steps — quite literally — toward raising awareness about Fatty Liver Disease, a silent but increasingly common condition affecting millions globally.

Organized by our Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, KIMS, the Walkathon brought together patients, families, healthcare professionals, and concerned citizens, united by one message:

🗣️ “Prevention begins with awareness — and action.”

From sunrise strides to meaningful conversations, today was a reminder that a healthy liver starts with a healthy lifestyle.
Fatty liver disease can be reversed in its early stages — and regular exercise, a balanced diet, and timely screenings make all the difference.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this initiative. Together, we are walking toward a healthier future.

💬 Stay informed. Get screened. Choose health.

To***co products may be marketed with sleek packaging and sweetened flavors — but behind the bright designs lie dark realities. This year’s theme, “Bright Products. Dark Intentions,” exposes the deliberate tactics used by the to***co industry to lure young people and new users into a lifetime of addiction.

As your healthcare provider, I urge you to look beyond the surface. To***co — in any form — harms nearly every organ in the body, increases the risk of cancer, heart disease, and respiratory illness, and remains a leading cause of preventable death.

⚠️ No to***co product is safe.
⚠️ Va**ng and flavored products are not harmless alternatives.
⚠️ The industry’s goal: lifelong customers, not lifelong health.

Let’s stand together for a to***co-free future. If you or someone you love is trying to quit, support and help are available. Your health is worth it.
