He pursued further specialization in medicine, obtaining his M.D. from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh in December 2008. Dr. Jena continued to hone his expertise, completing a D.M. in Cardiology from PGIMER in December 2013. In 2017, Dr. Jena undertook a Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Catheter Ablation at Korea University Medical Center (KUMC) Anam Hospital in Seoul, South Korea. This advanced training equipped him with cutting-edge skills and knowledge, which he brought back to his practice in Odisha, India. Dr. Jena began his professional career as an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at GSL Medical College in Rajahmundry from 2014 to 2015. Throughout his career, Dr. Jena has been at the forefront of several groundbreaking procedures in Odisha: He was the first to perform Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) in Odisha. He pioneered catheter ablation of complex arrhythmias, such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. Dr. Jena was also the first in Odisha to perform complex endovascular repairs of the aorta, including branched and parallel grafts.
