୨୮ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସର ଭଦ୍ରକର ଜଣେ ଯୁବକ ଗତ ୧ ବର୍ଷ ଧରି Lower back ଓ ଦୁଇଟି ପାଦକୁ ପ୍ରସାରିତ ବେଦନାରେ (bilateral lower limb radiation) ପୀଡିତ ଥିଲେ। ଗତ ୩ ମାସ ଧରି ବାମ ଗୋଡ଼ ଗଠି (ankle) ଉଠାଇବାରେ ଦୁର୍ବଳତା ହୋଇଥିଲା, ଯାହା ଫଳରେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଚାଲିବାରେ ଅସୁବିଧା ହେଉଥିଲା।

ସେ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଡାକ୍ତରଙ୍କ ପରାମର୍ଶ ନେଇଥିଲେ ଓ ଦୀର୍ଘ ସମୟ ଧରି ଔଷଧ ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ସଂରକ୍ଷଣାତ୍ମକ (conservative) ଚିକିତ୍ସା କରାଇଥିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଲକ୍ଷଣରେ କୌଣସି ସୁଧାର ହୋଇନଥିଲା। କିଛି ହସ୍ପିଟାଲରେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଓପେନ୍ ସ୍ପାଇନ୍ ସର୍ଜରୀ ପାଇଁ (Open Spine Surgery) ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦିଆଯାଇଥିଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଓପେନ୍ ସର୍ଜରୀ (Open Surgery) ପ୍ରତି ଇଚ୍ଛୁକ ନଥିଲେ, ତାଙ୍କ ମନରେ ଡର ଥିଲା।

ପରେ ସେ ଆମ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଥିଲେ। ଆମେ ତାଙ୍କର L4-L5 ଏବଂ L3-L4 ସ୍ତରରେ Biportal Endoscopic Discectomy ନାମକ ଏକ ମିନିମାଲି ଇନଭେସିଭ୍ ସ୍ପାଇନ୍ ସର୍ଜରୀ (Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery) କରିଥିଲୁ। ଏହି ସର୍ଜରୀରେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ କମ୍ ରକ୍ତସ୍ରାବ ହୋଇଥିଲା, ପେଶୀର କୌଣସି କ୍ଷତି (muscle damage) ହୋଇନଥିଲା ଏବଂ ମେଦୁଲାର ସ୍ଥିରତା (spinal stability) ଅକ୍ଷୁଣ୍ଣ ରହିଥିଲା।

ସର୍ଜରୀ ପରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଲକ୍ଷଣରେ ଶୀଘ୍ର ସୁଧାର ଦେଖାଗଲା। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସେ କୌଣସି ବେଦନା ବା ଅସୁବିଧା (Pain Or Problem) ବିନା ସହଜରେ ଚାଲିପାରୁଛନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ଭୂଇଁରେ ସହଜରେ ବସିପାରୁଛନ୍ତି। ସର୍ଜରୀ ପରେ କେବଳ ୧ ଦିନ ହସ୍ପିଟାଲରେ ରହି ସେ ସୁସ୍ଥ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଡିସ୍ଚାର୍ଜ (Discharge) ହୋଇଥିଲେ।

ଯଦି ଆପଣ କିମ୍ବା ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପରିବାରର କାହାରି ଦୀର୍ଘ ସମୟ ଧରି କମର କିମ୍ବା ପାଦ ବେଦନା ରହିଛି, ତେବେ ଅବହେଳା କରନ୍ତୁ ନାହିଁ।
ସମୟରେ ଚିହ୍ନଟ କଲେ ଦୀର୍ଘକାଳୀନ ସମସ୍ୟାକୁ ରୋକାଯାଇପାରିବ।
