Silent Endometriosis :

“No pain” does not mean “no endometriosis.” Up to 1 in 4 women with the disease have what’s often called “silent endometriosis” — a form that can cause chronic inflammation, ovarian endometriomas, tubal damage, and implantation failure without the classic severe cramps or pelvic pain.

For many with “unexplained infertility,” recurrent implantation failure, or early miscarriages, this overlooked form of endometriosis is the missing piece.

Your symptoms are real. Your experiences are valid. And you deserve to be heard.

September PCOS awareness month:

Polycystic o***y syndrome - PCOS - is a condition affecting how a woman’s ovaries work. It can cause a woman’s menstrual cycle to be irregular, which may result in the woman having long gaps between her periods, and it may also affect her fertility and physical appearance.

A diagnosis of PCOS should be made by a health professional.

PCOS is confirmed when at least two of the following are present:

✔️irregular periods (some periods >6 weeks apart) or no periods at all
✔️excess facial or body hair, or higher than normal testosterone levels on a blood test
✔️ultrasound scan showing polycystic ovaries (multiple very small follicles on the ovaries); follicles are fluid filled sacs that may contain an egg.

Stages of Fertilization: How Life Begins

1️⃣ Ovulation – Egg is released from the o***y
2️⃣ S***m Meets Egg – One s***m penetrates the egg, forming a zygote
3️⃣ Cell Division – The zygote starts dividing as it travels toward the uterus
4️⃣ Blastocyst Formation – Tiny ball of cells prepares for implantation
5️⃣ Implantation – Blastocyst attaches to the uterine lining, starting pregnancy

From a single cell to a growing baby—every step is a miracle

Why Some Women Don’t Get Pregnant Even After Ovulation

Many women believe that once ovulation happens, pregnancy must follow. But in reality, ovulation alone does not guarantee conception. There are other important factors at play.

Egg quality: If the egg released is not healthy, it may not be fertilized successfully.

S***m health: Even if ovulation is normal, weak or low s***m count can prevent fertilization.

Fallopian tubes: If the tubes are blocked or damaged, the s***m cannot reach the egg.

Hormones: Imbalances in hormones like progesterone or prolactin can stop proper implantation.

Uterine environment: Sometimes, conditions like fibroids or polyps can make it hard for an embryo to attach.

This is why a woman can track ovulation correctly but still not achieve pregnancy. Fertility depends on the teamwork of both partners and the health of the reproductive system as a whole.

World IVF Awareness Week 2025 :
While there isn't a specific age when men become infertile, fertility generally starts to decline after age 40, with noticeable decreases in s***m quality, quantity, and motility often observed after this age. the chances of successful conception decrease, and the risk of genetic issues in offspring and pregnancy complications increases with advancing paternal age.

IVF AWARENESS WEEK 2025 :
Age is a crucial factor in IVF treatment, significantly impacting both egg quality and quantity in women, and to a lesser extent, s***m quality in men. As women age, their ovarian reserve (the number of eggs) decreases, and the quality of those eggs also declines, leading to lower fertilization and implantation rates. While IVF can help women conceive at older ages, success rates are generally lower, and there's an increased risk of complications and miscarriage.

National Doctor’s Day 2025: It is aptly said that a doctor is not just a healer, but he or she is the source of hope and comfort for those in pain. Every year, lakhs of students in India prepare for NEET UG to become doctors and pursue MBBS. In India, July 1 is an annual observance to acknowledge and recognise the contributions of physicians to individual lives .
The day is also celebrated to honour the birth and death anniversary of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, a physician, freedom fighter, and former West Bengal Chief Minister. This year, the theme for National Doctors’ Day is ”Behind the Mask: Who Heals the Healers”.
