Pt was not able to open his mouth since 4 years even he can not take out his tongue, Due to this his speech was also hampered.. Patient tried medicine and other treatments but not got any result..
He came to our clinic Advanced Face and Dental Hospital for further treatment and decided for Surgery whuch was performed under General Anesthesias .
After surgery we had achieved 36 mm of mouth opening and then decided to go for physiotherapy …

THIS condition is OSMF - Oral submucous fibrosis which occurs due to “Gutaka” betel nut chewing
In which there are 4 stages.. if pt is in 1st and 2nd stage of OSMF then we can try for Injection and physiotherapy but if it’s in later stage of 2nd to 4th then there is only Surgical intervention will be required ..
