Dr. Deepak Mehta has completed his three year residency program in ORTHOPEDICS at Govt. In July 2003 he joined govt. medical college Chandigarh, as senior resident in department of orthopedics under esteemed guidance of prof Raj Bahadur and completed his senior residency in June 2006. During his training he developed keen interest in spine surgery and arthroplasty. He owe it to Dr. Raj Bahadur (director principal GMCH) and Dr. Sudhir Kumar (Professor and Head of the department). He have assisted them in a variety of cases. He did his first fellowship in joint reconstruction under prof Donald W Howie in oct-nov 2007 at Royal Adelaide hospital, Australia. He did his third fellowship in joint reconstruction oct 2010-nov 2010 markgroningen orthopaedics hospital, germany, forth at Cleveland Clinic. He stareted his practice in nov 2006 at Kular Hospital and has done more than 1500 JOINT REPLACEMENT SURGERIES. In joint replacement surgery we are using MIS (Minimum Incision Surgery) with minimum blood loss and no transfusion required. We make patient walk the very same day post surgery or the next day morning.
