Gingivitis(मसूड़ों की सूजन)

*मसूड़े की सूजन*
मसूड़ों की बीमारी का एक रूप जिसके कारण मसूड़ों में सूजन आ जाती है।
इसका कारण खराब मौखिक स्वच्छता है। अनुपचारित मसूड़े की सूजन से दांत ख़राब हो सकते हैं और अन्य गंभीर स्थितियाँ हो सकती हैं।

हाँ, मधुमेह और एचआईवी/एड्स सहित कुछ शारीरिक बीमारियाँ मसूड़े की सूजन का कारण बन सकती हैं। मसूड़े की सूजन एक सामान्य पीरियडोंटल बीमारी है जो कई कारकों के कारण हो सकती है, जिनमें शामिल हैं:
*खराब मौखिक स्वच्छता*: भोजन, लार, बलगम और बैक्टीरिया से प्लाक का निर्माण, मसूड़े की सूजन का सबसे आम कारण है।
*हार्मोनल परिवर्तन*: गर्भावस्था और रजोनिवृत्ति मसूड़े की सूजन का कारण बन सकती है।
*शारीरिक विकार*: मधुमेह और एचआईवी/एड्स मसूड़े की सूजन का कारण बन सकते हैं।

मसूड़े की सूजन का इलाज स्केलिंग और एंटीबायोटिक माउथवॉश से किया जा सकता है। हालाँकि, यदि मसूड़े की सूजन किसी शारीरिक बीमारी के कारण होती है, तो उस बीमारी का भी इलाज करना होगा।

यदि उपचार न किया जाए, तो मसूड़े की सूजन आपके शरीर के अन्य भागों में फैल सकती है और अन्य स्वास्थ्य स्थितियों के विकसित होने का खतरा बढ़ सकता है, जैसे:
*दिल की बीमारी
*आघात(stroke)
*मधुमेह
*वात रोग(arthritis)
*हृदवाहिनी रोग
*गैस्ट्रोइंटेस्टाइनल और कोलोरेक्टल कैंसर
*अल्जाइमर रोग(याददाश्त कमजोर होना)
*श्वसन पथ का संक्रमण

Gingivitis can be treated with professional cleaning and an antibacterial rinse. However, if the gingivitis is caused by a systemic disease, that disease will also need to be treated.

स्पेस मेंटेनर क्या हैं?
स्पेस मेंटेनर बाल - दंत चिकित्सा में उपयोग किए जाने वाले उपकरण हैं। इन उपकरणों का मुख्य कार्य समय से पहले बच्चे के दांतों के नुकसान का प्रबंधन करना है। मेंटेनर भी कुरूपता (दांतों का गलत एलाइनमेंट ), क्राउडिंग, और अन्य स्थितियों को रोकने में मदद करते हैं।
