On the occasion of World Environment Day, Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldana, organized a meaningful tree plantation drive under the theme “Our Land, Our Future,” focusing on restoring and nurturing nature. The event aimed to raise awareness among students and staff about environmental conservation and sustainable practices. Nearly 100 students actively participated in the initiative, with a majority being NSS volunteers who demonstrated great enthusiasm and commitment towards environmental protection.
The event was formally inaugurated by the respected Principal, Dr. S. P. Jain, who planted a tree and delivered a motivational address highlighting the importance of such eco-friendly initiatives in combating climate change and preserving biodiversity. Vice Principal Dr. P. N. Kendre, Academic Coordinator Dr. Subhash Deshmane, and Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy, Dr. S. M. Kewatkar, along with other faculty members, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff, also took part in the plantation drive, emphasizing the collective responsibility of the institution in maintaining a green and clean campus.
All the saplings, including medicinal and ornamental plants, were planted within the campus premises to enhance its green cover and contribute to a healthier ecosystem. Mr. Devanand Dange, the institute’s gardener, played a vital role by carefully selecting suitable plant species such as neem, tulsi, gulmohar, and amla, and ensuring their availability and proper planting. The students were guided on how to take care of the plants post-plantation to ensure their healthy growth.
The event was smoothly coordinated by Ms. Vaishnavi Patil. The plantation drive concluded with a group photograph and a pledge by all participants to continue their efforts toward protecting the environment and promoting sustainability. The initiative not only beautified the college premises but also instilled a strong sense of environmental responsibility among the students and staff.

International Yoga Day Celebrated at Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldhana

Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldhana, proudly celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025 with great enthusiasm and active participation from the entire staff.

On this occasion, a special guest session on Sahaj Yoga was conducted by Mr. Satish Saoji Sir, who demonstrated simple yet effective techniques for achieving mental peace and physical well-being. The event also featured Yoga Asanas and Suryanamaskar, practiced collectively by the teaching and non-teaching staff.

Dr. Shirish Jain, Principal of the college, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of incorporating Yoga into daily life for holistic health and balance.

The program was moderated by Prof. Rohit Salkute, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Rupali Dhane.

The event successfully highlighted the essence of Yoga as a path to harmony and self-awareness.

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldana, organized a guest lecture on 06th June 2025 for B. Pharm First Year students on the theme “Pharma Innovation to Startup: Achieving Value & Business Fit.”

The session was conducted by Mr. Sachin P. Borikar, Assistant Professor, and featured Dr. Kuldeep U. Bansod, Senior Lecturer, Dept. of Pharmacy, Govt. Polytechnic, Jalgaon, as the keynote speaker.

Dr. Bansod emphasized the importance of foundational pharmaceutical knowledge like Human Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathophysiology in driving innovation. He connected scientific learning with business concepts, encouraging students to transform academic insights into startup ideas. His talk explored research fundamentals, drug discovery, and lean startup methodologies, offering a roadmap for aspiring innovators in the healthcare sector.

A total of 103 students benefited from this lecture. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Kashmira Malusare, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology, RSCP Buldhana.

A competition was successfully conducted in the Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldhana, under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), in the college seminar hall. The event began with Mr. Srikant, a third-semester B. Pharm student, serving as the anchor officially welcomed Dr. Shirish Jain, Principal of the college, IIC President, and Chairman of the function and warmly welcoming Dr. P. N. Kendre, Professor, IQAC Head, Vice Principal, and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics who serve as an evaluator for the competition. Several dignitaries graced the occasion, including Dr. Subhash Deshmane, Academic Coordinator for undergraduate programs; Dr. Shailesh Kewatkar, Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy; and Dr. Somnath Vibhute, Training and Placement Officer and OSD of the college. The program co-ordinator Dr. Ashish A. Gawai, HOD, Dept. of Pharm. Chemistry, and PG Cordinator was also welcomed and informed about importance of program.
The competition commenced at 11:00 AM with an insightful lecture and interactive session by Dr. P. N. Kendre on the importance of innovation and the role of the Institution’s Innovation Cell. His question-driven approach effectively engaged and enriched the students.
The event featured B.Pharm Final Year Project Competition, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their innovative research and project work. The program concluded at around 1:00 PM with a vote of thanks by Ms. Vaishnavi, followed by official closing remarks from Dr. Shirish Jain.

Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldhana Maharashtra under the Institutions' Innovation Council (IIC) 7.0 auspices, conducted a workshop titled "Business Model Canvas” on May 31st, 2025. This session, geared towards fostering a deeper understanding of strategic business modeling, attracted around 50 participants from the institute. The event was expertly led by Mr. Somnath Swami Vibhute Associate Professor, Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldhana Maharashtra. The session was meticulously designed to introduce the Business Model Canvas (BMC), a powerful tool for developing new or documenting existing business models. The session was begin with introduction to the BMC, elucidating its purpose as a powerful tool for mapping out clear paths for business ideas and existing enterprises. The interactive session fostered lively discussions and brainstorming, providing participants with an opportunity to understand real-world business situations using the BMC framework. The workshop not only deepened theoretical understanding and empowered participants with practical tools for entrepreneurial innovation and strategy development.
By the end of the workshop, students should be well-equipped to utilize the Business Model Canvas as a powerful tool for designing, analyzing, and improving business models, which will be valuable for their future roles in business strategy and management.
