๐ŸŒŸ Rise and shine & letโ€™s start the week with a reminder to prioritise self-care amidst the hustle and bustle of life. Remember, taking care of yourself is the first step to success!

Kick start your day with some deep breaths. Taking a deep breath is like hitting the reset button for your mind. Before heading into the week, try the โ€œBox Breathingโ€ technique:

1. Sit comfortably with your back straight, or lie down if you prefer.
2. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose for a count of 4 seconds.
3. Hold your breath for a count of 4 seconds.
4. Slowly exhale through your mouth for a count of 4 seconds.
5. Hold your breath again for a count of 4 seconds.
6. Repeat the cycle for several rounds, maintaining a steady rhythm.

Box Breathing helps to calm the mind, regulate breathing, and reduce anxiety and stress levels. Give it a try whenever you need a moment of relaxation and rejuvenation.

If you feel overwhelmed this Monday, try the โ€œ5 Finger Breathing Brain Breakโ€ -
Slowly trace the outside of the hand with the index finger, breathing in when you trace up a finger and breathing out when you trace down. You can also do this breathing exercise using your own hand.

Remember, even small moments of relaxation can make a big difference. Take a deep breath, sip your favorite coffee or tea and let go of any stress weighing you down. Youโ€™ve got this!

Read that again, and make some time for self-care and personal wellbeing.

Self-care and wellness should be a priority. It will help and support you to achieve your full potential.

You don't have to make major life changes; even minor adjustments in your daily habits will pay off in all areas of your life.

โœ… 5 techniques that will help you reduce stress and increase your overall well-being:

1๏ธโƒฃ Increase your movement

The human body was designed to move and works best when it's active.

So, move more throughout the day.

Don't have time for a 60-minute exercise routine? That's alright.

Break your workout into parts or micro workouts โ€”10/15 dedicated minutes a few times a day is doable, right?

1. Go for a 5-minute walk.

2. Find a time to do a few stretches.

3. Do some strength training.

4. Don't forget to include a few breathing exercises.

These can have an immense positive impact on your productivity by reducing your stress levels.

2๏ธโƒฃ Don't skip meals

If you don't want your body to crash, stop skipping meals.

Plan your healthy meals and snacks ahead of time. That's the only way you can avoid eating junk food and stick to healthy meals on a daily basis.

3๏ธโƒฃ Make sleep a priority

You need enough sleep and rest for your body and mind to recharge and replenish.

Sleep is essential for good health and well-being. Not getting enough quality sleep will raise the risk of many diseases and disorders.

Sleep for at least 7-9 hours each night.

4๏ธโƒฃ Increase your gratitude

Keep a gratitude journal.

Writing down 2-3 good things every day will train your brain to look for positives throughout your day. This will eventually boost your happiness quotient.

5๏ธโƒฃ Hone your mindfulness skills

Meditate, even if it's for 1 minute a day.

Choose your form of meditation.

You can opt for:
โžก๏ธ short guided meditation; breath meditation; guided imagery; body scan; mindful walking; there's an array of meditation practises to choose from.

Once you make your wellbeing and self-care a priority, you will start observing and experiencing significant changes in your life. As your stressors diminish, you'll experience improved physical, mental, and emotional health.
