Another first- First interventional paediatric cardiology procedure at Wayanad district Kerala. By reaching the health care accessible and close to the community we are able to do much more. It was done by Dr Kamran along with Leo Metro team, Dr Byju and Dr Jyothish with able support from Dr Ameera. Ably supported by one and only Vaseem Vaas and his team and the ever inspiring Dr TPV Saseendranath(the boss😎).

Another successful screening camp in Lucknow .Thanks to Lucknow AMUOBA specially Mr Shariq for the efforts he put in this and Chandan hospital ,Dr Danish the man behind the show .more than 100 patients consulted.More than 20 kids diagnosed with congenital heart disease.looking forward for arranging their treatment ASAP.

"When trust is there ,distance doesn't matter " Here in MICC - Calicut patients travelled many times from Aligarh , Hyderabad , Moradabad ,New Delhi in the past for their heart surgeries/interventions to be done . it's not that treatment not available in that part of country ,but it's all about trust and strong recommendation for thier treating physician/ pediatrician behind their extra miles covered.Feeling extremely happy in sharing a similar story, a kid whom we treated with VSD device closure(key hole operation for hole in heart) a native of West Bengal . We are really thankful to the patients and their caregivers for entrusting us and giving us a chance to treat them.

From our Caridac Camp conducted at Gudalur along with Shihab Thangal Centre for Humanity and GTMO. Was also a pleasant experience for the travelling team to experience the warm hospitality of locals at a beautiful locality.

Going back home is so joyful Few good byes are soo good to witness,which are possible due sleepless night of ICU staff,well planned timely surgery. Sharing this video of girl who had recently undergone a heart surgery for a complex cyanotic heart disease . She and her father travelled long way to Calicut from Hyderabad. Operated here and Alhamdulillah going back home safely with excellent results. This was possible because of team work at MICC, Calicut. Thanks a lot to refering doctor( Dr Asif) and the father for showing confidence in our team .

Glimpses from our small get together after completion of 100 cases. Extremely thankful for the parents and kids who have come out and tell their story which will hopefully give courage to others. Early detection and timely treatment is the key as medical science have now progressed and most good centres offer treatment with less than 2% mortality. Proud to keep up with the international benchmarking standards.

If you want to walk far walk together. A little story of walking together. This kid was stuck in ventilator at just 2 months of age with a large PDA ( a connection between 2 great vessels which should ideallly be naturally closed within days after birth). An interventional procedure by Dr Kamran helped him come off ventilator but unfortunately large flow had caused his heart to dilate and one of his main valve was leaking. He underwent successful repair of the valve and is back on playing football just a week after surgery.

Happy to announce that we are now a small part of initiative for stroke prevention strategies,started doing PFO closure in patient with cryptogenic stroke.sharing the video of a lady with documented R to L shunting PFO with history of stroke . PFO closed with special 25 mm PFO device at. MICC,Calicut successfully. Patient discharge on the very next day .happy moment for our team .
