🛖 Our natural building class was a beautiful success!

More people showed up than we ever expected—adults and kids alike, all eager to get their hands in the mud. Together, we shaped walls from earth and gave them life with smooth lime plaster. Laughter mixed with learning, and by the end, everyone left with new skills, dirty hands, and big smiles. The magic of building with nature brought us together, and we can’t wait to do it again!

It is the end of the season here in Goa but for us it is a time of new beginnings. As our gurus once said, 'time is now' and we can't wait to introduce you all to the world of natural building 🛖

We are ready with another workshop for this weekend.
A hands-on NATURAL BUILDING🌱 workshop dedicated to our love and passion for building using cost effective, environment friendly and sustainable materials. We primarily use mud, straw and lime for most of our work.

In this workshop, we will be building a small boundary wall around our jungle studio. We will be using plastic/glass bottles as bricks and of course a lot of mud. We will also give you a small tour of our studio and an out-house we made using age old techniques of natural building. We will also share insights from the learning experience we had during the construction process of the studio.

🏡 We live in more than 100 years old Portuguese house on a small hillock overlooking the Talpona river in Canacona, South Goa.

We are the last house in the village and there is a huge open jungle in our backyard which borders Cotigao wildlife sanctuary.

We always admired colonial architecture of Goa. Portuguese houses with their columns, tiled roofs and verandas are our favourite and we are incredibly lucky to live in one of them.

Our doors are open for people who share our values and are eager for new knowledge, experience and inspiration.

Every morning we wake up with a symphony of many different birds sounds🐦🕊️🦜. We were always curious to know more about these beautiful creatures and then Kiran .i.rao appeared. He booked with us few nights and it also gave us a chance to know about the creators of these beautiful melodies.

Kiran has special interest in bird watching and he makes beautiful photos of birds from all over India wherever he travels.

While staying with us Kiran made these cool photos and shared his knowledge with us.

🌴 We are located at the edge of the forest, where you can take some days off, enjoy having a cup of tea while listening to bird songs in the morning sunshine, breathe fresh air of the hills covered with forest and sleep while looking at the stars.

It is also an opportunity for you to stay in a handmade mud house, everything in the house is made by us with lots of love and care.

A hideaway homestay built with traditional building methods using mud, lime and wood, it is born out of our passion for natural building and sustainable living. Everything is made by us with love and care, the house is full of inspiration and creativity, we are so proud of it and would love to share our home with people from all over the world.

Our place is not a commercial homestay or a hotel, it is a more immersive experience that will connect you with us as a family, with nature and in a sense with yourself. We are a tiny hideaway where we live, work and celebrate life as it is offered to us without any expectations. Our focus is more on sustainability, creativity, heathy living, curiosity and a zest for learning something new.
