Respected Seniors, Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Greeting from the Hon’y Secretary General -Indian Association of Private Psychiatry (IAPP).

It gives me immense pleasure to know the IAPP-Assam State branch is organizing the 21st Annual National Conference of IAPP (ANCIAPP 2020) on 26th to 29th November 2020 at Guwahati.

The Theme: Newer Approaches and Innovations in Psychiatric Practice.

Tremendous advances in science and technology have enabled greater understanding of the brain, yet mental health care remains inaccessible and inadequate for much of the world’s population. The practice of psychiatry is changing in terms of its presentation, treatment options and expectations.

There is an utmost need of psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to equip them with the up to date knowledge and training of psychiatry.

The present conference (ANCIAPP 2020) focuses on the same theme. It is a 4 day conference at Guwahati. The city itself speaks about the latest trends, hence the latest techniques will be discussed during this conference.

I am especially thankful to Dr Jayanta Das and the entire team for taking the initiative for organising the national conference of private psychiatry at Guwahati.

I am also thankful to the faculty and delegates, who would make it a grand success.
