We are honoured by the trust placed in Fortis Hospital, Mohali by Former Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh. He was admitted on 9th February 2026 at Fortis Hospital, Mohali under Dr. Harsimran Singh, Director – Orthopaedics, for a planned knee replacement procedure.

He successfully underwent a Unilateral Unicondylar Knee Replacement surgery on 10th February. The procedure was performed by a team of doctors led by Dr. Harsimran Singh.

Sharing details, Dr. Harsimran Singh stated:
“Capt Amarinder Singh had an uneventful intra-operative course and a smooth post-operative recovery. He was able to walk pain-free following the procedure and was discharged in a satisfactory condition.”

A dedicated painting activity designed exclusively for survivors became the highlight of the celebration, symbolizing strength, expression, and renewal. The program also featured music, dance, and engaging recreational activities, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere for everyone present.

The celebration continued with a meaningful balloon release ceremony, where the oncology team and patients symbolically let go of their worries and embraced hope and positivity.

The event concluded with the launch of the revised edition of “Living Strong – A Guide to Fight & Win Cancer,” reaffirming Fortis Cancer Institute’s commitment to supporting and empowering patients at every step of their journey beyond cancer.
