The best prescription or the fittest prescription..?
Temperaments gives the answer
And for that we must know What are temperaments.
Each one of us is unique; even twins are not alike so far as our fundamental nucleus is concerned. It is given to us at conception and remains constant throughout our life. We are born with this core, which cannot be changed and which forms the basis of the homoeopathic prescription.
There are BASIC FIVE Temperaments:
SANGUINE
CHOLERIC
MELANCHOLIC
PHLEGMATIC
NERVOUS
They are classified depending on their features, emotions, fundamental dispositions, character and their traits as a parent, friend or at work.
Some of the salient features of each temperament type are:
1. SANGUINE TEMPERAMENT: The sanguine is a very social person. Very cheerful, they always manage to have fun. They will not be tied down to relationships or to any one activity. They live for the present. You will never find them worrying about the future nor are they weighed down with the baggage of the past. Their anger is effervescent, dies down easily leaving behind no memory or no grudge.
2. CHOLERIC TEMPERAMENT: Persons with a choleric temperament conjure up an image of authoritative, dominating, resourceful and confident beings. They are persons with big dreams and aims to reach them. They are powerful and with their power, their golden rule is “DO IT MY WAY AND NOW!”
3. MELANCHOLIC TEMPERAMENT: Persons with melancholic temperament are thinkers. They are people serious of purpose, ardent and appreciative of beauty and intelligence. They are creative, conscientious, fastidious and thorough.
4. PHLEGMATIC TEMPERAMENT: Persons with phlegmatic temperaments are extremely slow paced and obstinate. This temperament goes through life doing as little as possible, quietly and expending little energy; lazy. They are the ones who are not ruffled by anything. They don’t cause trouble; they have no difficulty in adjusting with others and usually don’t have any enemies.
5. NERVOUS TEMPERAMENT: Persons with this type of temperament take a lot of unjustified stress. As they lack confidence, they are always on the edge and hyper, bordering on panic-attacks. They are hurried and hence appear highly impatient. They can be very impulsive or over-cautious. They are confused and hesitant. They are bashful and get alarmed easily.
