University School of Physiotherapy and Radiology led Free Multispecialty Health Checkup Camp

The University School of Physiotherapy & Radiology (USPR), Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, Department of Physiotherapy & Department of Ophthalmology Rayat Bahra University, successfully organized Free Multispecialty Health Checkup Camp on 21st and 22nd July 2025.The camp was organized under the esteemed guidance of Hon’ble Chancellor S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, and Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. S. K. Bansal, whose visionary leadership continues to inspire such community-focused initiatives. Prof. (Dr.) Lalit Kumar Gupta, Dean – USPR, served as the Organizing Chairperson.
The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, provided expert nutritional counseling addressing issues such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, lifestyle management, and overall dietary balance. The Department of Physiotherapy conducted detailed posture assessments, musculoskeletal evaluations, and individualized pain management advice, aimed at identifying and preventing posture-related complications. Concurrently, the Department of Ophthalmology performed vision screenings for early detection of refractive errors and other ocular conditions.

Farewell & Oath Ceremony for BMRIT 6th Semester Students at USPR, Rayat Bahra University

The University School of Physiotherapy & Radiology (USPR), Rayat Bahra University, bid a heartfelt farewell to the BMRIT 6th semester students on 21st July 2025.

A special Oath Ceremony was conducted, reinforcing the professional and ethical responsibilities of the students as they step into their careers. The occasion also included a group photography session, capturing lasting memories with faculty members and peers.

The event served not only as a farewell but also as a moment of reflection, pride, and encouragement for the students embarking on the next phase of their professional lives.

Plantation Drive – “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”
On 17th July 2025, Rayat Bahra University, Mohali, proudly hosted a successful plantation drive under the national initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.” The event was collaboratively organized by the University School of Physiotherapy and Radiology (USPR) and the University School of Allied Health Sciences (USAHS). This noble initiative aimed to foster environmental consciousness while paying a heartfelt tribute to motherhood by encouraging participants to dedicate a tree in the name of their mothers.
The event was conducted under the dynamic leadership of Honourable Chancellor Sardar Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions and Bahra Hospital. The plantation drive was graced by the participation of Prof. (Dr.) Lalit Kumar Gupta, Professor cm Dean, USPR; Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kaul, Dean, USAHS; Mr. B.S. Bains, Director Administration; Mr. Arun Yadav, Deputy Director Infrastructure; along with faculty members and staff.
The plantation drive not only enhanced the campus’s greenery but also reinforced the faculty’s commitment to sustainable living and emotional connection. It served as a modest yet meaningful step toward environmental care and social responsibility.
