Hearing is very important for communication:
We communicate in two ways, namely, verbal and non-verbal. So that we can hear others out and our own-self.
Research claims, Adults are mostly engaged in some sort of communication, of this 45 % is spent on listening 30% speaking 16 % reading and 9% writing. That shows hearing and listening play a very significant role and the impact is has on our speaking, reading, and writing skills.
Hearing undoubtedly gives the best feedback to an individual to monitor his/her speech. Not hearing efficiently at an early age can invite social, educational, and employment problems later in life.
On paying a visit to one of the schools, I noticed, the kids there werenโt performing well. The results were consistently low. There were around 400 kids studying in that school who came from low economic families. We screened all the kids and found that 80% of kids were affected by wax in their ears. This was the major reason bothering kids and keeping them from concentrating in class. Therefore it was difficult for them to perform well in their education. This reiterates the importance of hearing.
If I talk about spiritual, physical, psychological, emotional, and physiological modes of communication, in all aspects of life youโre hearing and listening to god. Listening to people in your environment to learn a language, in production and in getting feedback is salient. Also, our attitude and behavior in every expression of life hearing cannot go unnoticed.
Hearing well makes your listening powerful that improves your thinking and makes your communication better in life. We hear through ears but understanding is done by brain so even for brain to be most activated we need to hear others.
