Sree Sankara Group of Ayurvedic Institutions was established ( in a formal way ) when Sree Sankara Ayurveda Vaidyasala was started in 1975 , by Vaidyakalanidhi Sri. Chandrasekharan Nair, on his retirement after 32 years as an Ayurvedic Medical Officer of the Government of Kerala. In fact, the outpatient section was in service where consultation and provision of medicines were being done for more than 70 years before that.
