Nasya (नस्य) is one of the Panchakarma therapies in Ayurveda, where medicated oil, ghee, or herbal preparations are administered through the nose.

Importance of Nasya:
1. Gateway to the Head
• Ayurveda says “Nāsa hi śiraso dvāram” (the nose is the doorway to the head).
• By administering medicines through the nose, Nasya directly affects the head, brain, eyes, nose, and throat.
2. Cleansing & Nourishment
• Helps remove accumulated doshas (especially Kapha) from the head and neck region.
• Nourishes and strengthens tissues of the head, neck, eyes, ears, and brain.
3. Respiratory & ENT Health
• Beneficial in sinusitis, allergies, nasal congestion, chronic cold, migraine, and throat issues.
4. Neurological Benefits
• Improves memory, concentration, mental clarity, and sleep.
• Used in management of conditions like cervical spondylosis, facial palsy, and headaches.
5. Beauty & Rejuvenation
• Regular Nasya with suitable oils can promote healthy skin, prevent premature greying of hair, and strengthen hair roots.
6. Preventive Care
• Daily practice of Pratimarsha Nasya (2 drops of oil in each nostril) is recommended in classics for overall health, immunity, and longevity.

How many people knows the Connection Between Sleep and Vata
1. Vata controls the nervous system & mind
• Vata is made of air and space, so when it increases, the mind becomes restless, active, and unable to settle down → causing insomnia or disturbed sleep.
2. Vata time of night
• According to Ayurveda’s dosha clock, the time from 2 am to 6 am is Vata period.
• If Vata is high, people wake up suddenly around 2–4 am, find it hard to go back to sleep, and may start overthinking.
3. Quality of sleep
• Balanced Vata → calm, refreshing, light but stable sleep.
• Increased Vata → light, broken, anxious sleep; many dreams; waking up too early.
4. Daytime effect
• Lack of sleep further aggravates Vata → leading to fatigue, anxiety, poor digestion, and more dryness.
• It becomes a cycle: high Vata → poor sleep → higher Vata so try today to balance your vata

Atopic Dermatitis (AD) is one of the most common chronic skin conditions seen today, and Ayurveda offers a holistic way to manage it by looking beyond just the skin symptoms through panchakarma .

Atopic Dermatitis in Ayurveda
Is similar to Vicharchika (a type of Kustha roga – skin disease).
• Dosha involvement:
• Pitta → redness, burning, inflammation.
• Kapha → oozing, thickened skin, itching.
• Vata → dryness, scaling, fissures.
• Underlying cause: Impaired digestion (Mandagni) → formation of Ama (toxins) → circulation in blood → manifestation in skin. Panchakarma
