Happy to share a case of type 3 thyroplasty done for a puberphonia patient.. ( 20 year boy with female tone of voice , have tried speech therapy for 4 years but not improved ).. procedure done under LOCAL ANASTHESIA..

SUBMANDIBULAR CALCULUS - ( Submandibular stones ) , -- one of the very important conditions in which patient presents with severe pain while swallowing.. & usually submandibular glands are the most commonly involved..
the most common cause is Dehydration- reduced oral hygiene and reduced water consumption...

case - a 50 year patient with severe pain presented in op with severe pain &.pus dischage.. under LA, under SAP , huge calculus removal done.

One of the most urgent & dangerous midnight emergencies..
a 2 year kid with Foreign BUTTON BATTERY ingestion...
removed with rigid oesophagoscopy under GA.

Note - button batteries are very dangerous. and when it gets struck in nose throat or oesophagus, chemicals tends to leak and cause corrosive activities..may lead to necrosis ( loss of blood supply to that area ) and,even perforation ( eroding the entire area ) .

kindly avoid BUTTON BATTERIES.. and be careful when the toy battery is open...
