Diagnosed with hernia? And wondering what your options are? And if homeopathy has a solution too? Well then let's find out more about that today.

To start with let me first say yes, hernias (umbilical or inguinal) are treatable with Homeopathy, provided they are in the initial stages. In later stages or when the herniation has progressed, medicines may not be sufficient to reverse the issue.

We must understand that hernia is a condition that is a result of reduction of elasticity and firmness of the fascia (a layer covering the muscles of the abdomen). So there must be some other reasons why this weakness of the fascia could have happened. For eg. Conditions that lead to increased abdominal pressure like simple constipation but which is chronic, or even obesity, multiple pregnancies, and of course there are other medical conditions like ascites, tumors etc. But these are less common causes.

So when trying to treat we need to understand the cause of the hernia rather than just get it handled. Bcos if we can get hernia once we can get it again, unless and until we address the root cause.

So you can choose any medical options if you are in the initial stages where the hernia is asymptomatic ie. No pain, no irreducibility ie. It goes inside if we press and comes out when we exert.

But if there is pain or discomfort or any skin changes, then it's best to get it surgically treated to avoid the complications of hernia.

If you don't have any discomfort or progression of the hernia, then you can focus on building your abdominal wall and choose any medical options that can address the cause. And yes of course consider homeopathy!
