Podi Kizhi : What it is???

Podi Kizhi is used for therapeutic fomentation (ottradam) treatment in Siddha system of medicine.
It involves heating a muslin cloth bag (known as a kizhi) filled with a meticulously prepared mixture of dry herbal powders (podi). This heated herbal poultice is then gently or vigorously applied to the affected areas of the body after a preparatory warm oil massage.
