Here is a message from Janani Prakash Head of HR Quantela Inc
and the post is copied from linked in
A couple of weeks ago, I was talking to my friend Sithala Balagopal and Dr Deepa Shree and became aware of few facts about breast cancer that I never knew before. Subsequently I requested Dr. Deepa to address our employees at Quantela Inc. as ‘care for our people’s , for each other and our communities’ is an integral part of our culture. It was extremely useful and sharing some insights here for everyone’s awareness.
1. The most treatable cancer is breast cancer and therefore early detection can help immensely.
2. Self-examination followed by mammography are the most common ways to detect breast cancer. Thermal screening is a recent modality to screen women that are below 40 years.
3. Men can get breast cancer too.
4. Having a healthy lifestyle and being aware of family medical history can help in the prevention of breast cancer.
For more information on this you could follow Pink On the Move page on Facebook.
My grandmother survived for over 30 years after suffering and recovering from breast cancer. Early detection helped in her case. Please spread the word by posting/ sharing/ liking/ commenting with a pink ribbon/ attire if possible. You could help in saving a life by a simple act.
