On March 21, 2026, 60 enthusiastic II & III Year B. Pharmacy students from Chettinad Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, CARE, Manamai stepped into the world of innovation with an industrial visit to Madras Pharmaceuticals, Chennai.

From exploring production, quality control, storage, and packaging units to understanding the manufacturing of tablets, capsules, semi-solids, and liquid formulations, students witnessed how science transforms into life-saving medicines. 💊

This enriching experience went beyond academics—expanding perspectives, igniting ambition, and shaping future pharmaceutical professionals.

Celebrating Inclusion, Spreading Joy 💙✨
The Department of Paediatrics commemorated Down Syndrome Day on 19th & 20th March 2026 with meaningful and engaging activities.

On 19th March, Dr. Sujith conducted a fun-filled quiz for undergraduate students, followed by a spirited debate session, moderated by Dr. Prabhakaran, DMS, encouraging awareness and thoughtful discussions.

On 20th March, the department organised a special health check-up camp for children with Down Syndrome. The day was further brightened with music and dance performances, bringing smiles and joy to the children.

A cake-cutting ceremony, presided over by Dean Prof. Dr. Meenakshi, was held at the OPD, followed by fun-filled activities, making the celebration truly memorable.
The event highlighted the importance of acceptance, care, and inclusion, reinforcing our commitment to holistic healthcare and community engagement.

Empowering Women Through Care & Recovery 🌸💪

The Chettinad School of Physiotherapy (CARE) successfully organised a physiotherapy awareness and rehabilitation program titled “Empower Her Care: From Bump to Bounce Back” on 21st March 2026 at the A-Block Hospital Demo Hall.

The session focused on enhancing awareness of physiotherapy interventions in obstetric and gynaecological health, offering participants valuable insights into pelvic floor strengthening, posture correction, breathing techniques, therapeutic exercises, pain management, and functional rehabilitation.

Through live demonstrations and expert guidance, the program highlighted the importance of safe pregnancy practices and effective postpartum recovery, empowering women with knowledge to support their health and well-being.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation and served as a meaningful step towards promoting women’s health and rehabilitation awareness.

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, CHRI, successfully organized a CME on Endometriosis Awareness on 19 March 2026 (1:00–3:30 PM), in association with the Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society of Southern India, commemorating Endometriosis Awareness Month.

🎤 The session featured Dr. Mala Raj, renowned laparoscopic surgeon and National Coordinator, Endometriosis Committee of FOGSI, who delivered an insightful talk covering fundamentals to advanced management strategies and recent advances in early diagnosis.

👩‍⚕️ The event was efficiently coordinated by Prof. Dr. Vijayalakshmi and Dr. Akshaya, under the guidance of Prof. & HOD Dr. Sailatha.
