Who coined the word VEGAN?- Donald Watson, founder of the Vegan Society, coined the word vegan in 1944. He took the first and last letters of the word vegetarian to create his orthodox version of vegetarianism.

What is vegan explained?
A vegan diet is based on plants (such as vegetables, grains, nuts and fruits) and foods made from plants. Vegans do not eat foods that come from animals, including dairy products and eggs.

Importance of vegan?
Research has shown that a vegan diet can help do the following: Promote weight loss. Reduce your risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol levels. Lower your chances of getting certain types of cancer, such as colon cancer.

What are the benefits of vegan diet studies?
Several studies have reported that vegan diets tend to provide more fiber, antioxidants, and beneficial plant compounds. They also appear to be richer in potassium, magnesium, folate, and vitamins A, C, and E ( 1, 2, 3). Vegan diets even appear to be higher in iron.

How many vegans are in the world?
According to Stats of 2023, There Are Approximately 88 Million Vegans in the World. (The VOU) Since there were over 8 billion people in the world, that's around 1.1%

Who was the first vegan?
In 1806, at the age of 41, Dr. William Lambe adopted an exclusively plant-based diet as a result of health problems. At the time, it was common for people following a “vegetable diet” to consume dairy products, but Dr. Lambe rejected these products as well, making him one of the first “vegans” as we know it today
