Dear Friends & Well-wishers,

"Pen is mightier than the sword"

We realized the true potentials of these statements yet again on 11th April 2020. We are overwhelmed and thankful to everyone who contributed instantly helping us get started with phase two of providing grocery items kit to 161 tribal families from 7 different villages in Gumudupoondi district.

A Grocery Kit includes - 7 kg of Rice, 250gm of Dry Chilli, 50gm of Pepper, 50gm of Jeera, 1 liter of Oil, 1 kg of Wheat flour, 1 kg of Dhal, 50gm of Anise, 50gm of Mustard, 100gm of Tea, 1 packet of Salt and 1 kg of Sugar.

Here are the number of tribal families from each village received our contribution,

24 families from Chennavaram village
17 families from Thamireddypalayam village
57 families from Thalaiyaripalayam village
2 families from Sunnambukulam village
25 families from Chedilpakkam village
12 families from Nemaloor village
24 families from Kannambakkam village

A total of 161 less fortunate tribal families benefited now with this contribution and this will surely help them for next 8 days.

A woman from Thalaiyaripalayam village said "We don't know whether Coronovirus could kill us, but we are sure the Hunger will kill us. That's the situation we are all in now. We are doing daily wage jobs and running the family. Now there is no job and also curfew imposed and we are not able to move out of the huts. Government gave us one thousand rupees to each family. But how long it will help us if we don't go for daily wage job for next 30 days. We are staying at home now and difficult to feed the children. Now, with grace of you all, we got rice and dhal now. We thank each one you who helped us and on behalf of my village, we sincerely thank everyone who came forward to help us ".

Does it require any more words to explain the situation of tribal families living in the remote villages?

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone once again who helped these families.

"At this time of crisis situation, Only prayer has the capability to heal us. So Stay Safe at Home & Pray for Others!!".

Sincerely,
Care N Share

My Dear Friends, Hope you all safe!! Please take care and stay at Home!! We can win anything with the blessings of Mother Nature. There is no doubt about that.

This message is about the souls who are all suffering even more than us and living in the remote locations of inner villages which are in and around the industrial town of Gummidipoondi. There are families from all over 32 villages who do not have proper documents like ration cards to get the benefits from Government during this critical time. Most of the families belong to Irular Tribal community and they all do daily wage jobs for their survival and this complete curfew lock-down increased the burden in their life even more.

We are joining hands with two teams - "Gold Heart Foundation (GHF)" & "Amudha Sivaji Food Donation Trust (AST)" to help these families from the remote villages. GHF already rooted their volunteers to identify the tribal families who are really in need from these villages. And the volunteers of GHF has been involved in this noble cause with the proper 'approval pass' from the Government Authorities.

So far they identified the following number of families from the villages,

10 families from Thalaiyaaripalayam Village
11 families from EesanKaadu Village
22 families from Thaathaiyyan Kandigai Irular Colony
8 familes from Chennavaram Village Irular Colony

NOTE: We are helping ONLY the tribal families who are under poverty and who do not have Government Ration Card. GHF volunteers directly visiting the villages and gathering the list of families and their names of head from each family.

Number of Tribal Village Families we are going to help: 100
Cost per Kit of Grocery Items: INR 700/-
A Kit of Grocery Items contains: 10 Kg of Rice, Dhal, Oil, Chilly, Garlics, Tamarind, Salt and Sugar
Total Cost would be: INR 70,000/-
Teams Directly Involved: AST, GHG & CS

This is surely a right time to help and hereby request you all to join with us to help the needy souls of Mother Nature. We THREE teams joined together to support the needy families from the villages directly. Please join with us and support this divine service to our Mother Nature!!

No one should sleep with Hunger when we are there and Let's give rest to Hunger as much as we can.

Note: Today (4th April) and for the next 2 days, GHF volunteers will be continuing the process of identifying the families from the villages around Gummidipoondi town.
