As a part of community activity in Rotary District 3232 of our “Treevolution” Today we organised a plantation event at CSI Ewart school, Purasaiwakam. School students actively participated in the event. We thank Rtn Dr Saritha Damodharan for the initiative and President Rtn Dr Subramaniam Muthukumar for donating the samplings. The Secratary Dr Dilip Chand Raja Soundarajan presided over the event.

On the occasion of World Heart Day, the Rotary Club of Chennai Medical Fraternity organized a complete heart check up for the needy by offering free blood tests, Ecg, Echo, and cardiac consultation at Shanmugam hospital, Royapuram on Sep 29 Rotary District 3232Rotary International Dilip Chand Raja Soundarajan. Rtn Prof Dr M S Ravi, cardiologist took the initiative and successfully completed the medical camp serving more than 70 patients in a single day.

Environmental conservation and community involvement are crucial for maintaining the beauty and sustainability of our natural spaces. We the members of Rotary Club of Chennai Medical Fraternity and their families dedicated our time on Sunday (September 10,2023) to the noble cause of making Green Hill (Pacha malai) even greener by cleaning up the garbage from the trekking area.

Such actions not only improve the aesthetic appeal of the area but also contribute to the overall health and well-being of the ecosystem and the community. May our efforts inspire others to participate in similar initiatives!

Physical meeting at Farm guru Agritech center under guidance of Rtn Sesha M Sai on August 27,2023. This event brought together 25 adults and 17 children who were eager to explore the world of farming, foster a connection with nature, and learn about sustainable agricultural practices. The day-long session was not only informative but also immensely enjoyable. Participants had the unique opportunity to engage in hands-on farming activities, immersing themselves in the processes that bring food from the soil to the table. This hands-on experience helped attendees gain a profound appreciation for the hard work and dedication that goes into sustainable farming.

Observed annually on June 3rd, World Clubfoot Day is an international day of celebration – for the children born with clubfoot whose lives have been transformed by treatment, for the parents whose steadfast hope and dedication have been rewarded, for the providers whose healing hands have guided thousands of little feet to mobility, and for all clubfoot champions whose support continues to bring treatment to children in need around the world. We Rotary Club of Chennai Medical Fraternity participatied in the Club Foot awareness Walkathon on June 3,2023

Trees play a vital role in combating climate change, enhancing air quality, and providing numerous ecological benefits. Planting 1250 trees in The Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University and across the four esteemed medical colleges in Chennai - Madras, Stanley, Kilpauk, and Omandurar – showcases a profound commitment to nurturing the environment and promoting a sustainable future. This initiative started on July 28,2023 will not only beautify the campuses but also instill a sense of environmental responsibility among students, faculty, and the broader community. For the first time in the history of Rotary International, 80 Doctors with One Vision: “Empowering Chennai's Community Through Service” united hands to form the “Rotary Club of Chennai Medical Fraternity” on 14-4-2023. Envisioned by PDG Rtn Nazar Isak, nurtured by Rtn Dr. Ramesh Babu, and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Chennai Gemini, we took oath on 21-4-2023 under the guidance of DG Rtn Dr. Nanda Kumar N in the presence of the Rotary International Director Rtn A.S. Venkatesh and RI President-Elect Gordon McInally with Charter members Dr. Muthukumar Subramaniam taking over as President and Dr Sangeetha as Secretary and Dr Abhishek as treasurer.
