Hello People..., Hope all are doing well... yeah yeah i know i was off for a while..., but you know as usual i have something to share with you all..,

We all should accept a fact that we realize the need for blood only when our near and dear are in need of it.., i understand that there must be a lot of pressure, panic, hassle around you in those difficult times when you arrange for blood approaching so many people around you so many blood banks around you but you should also think of donating blood cause the blood that's gonna help your near and dear today is been donated by someone yesterday and definitely the blood that you gonna donate today is gonna serve at its best for someone tomorrow. When everyone understands this need there is no out out there who is gonna suffer to arrange blood.

As we always say, Donate Blood, Save lives and be a hero not for others but for yourself be proud and show the power of mankind to your nears and dears by taking an initiative of donating blood today...

Heya People..., It's really good to connect with you all..,

We all live in an extremely busy world with so much stuffs to do around and have no time to connect face in face even with the family members and say hey hello!! in Facebook but yeah Facebook is a big reach.. take sometime to read this small story bellow.,

There was a mother with two sons both works in a reputed organization with a decent salary but as we know not any two people can posses the same character. The younger one is mom's pet earn a little more than the other and is mechanic in life. the younger brother's aim is to become richest person in the world and as he earns well mom always praises him. But the elder is little different works for people not for the money though is capable of earning more he always wanted to serve and this attitude made his mum worried and ends up with insults and conflict. one fine morning when both the son went out for work their sweet mum went for a grocery shop on the way back she met with an accident. as we all know it is a busy world we had a lot of people out there who showed pity but was hesitant to help. Without knowing that the lady is his own mother the younger one rushed to office but the elder one was so shocked to see that the public is hesitant to help a lady who is fighting for her survival without knowing that it is his own mother. The poor mother was able to see her elder son is so worried and is giving his fullest to support her without knowing the fact helping her get an ambulance donating blood and arranging donors for saving her life and the other side her younger son whom she always praised is least bothered about a struggling life and had lost even the last bit of humanity. That was the moment my friend, "The Poor Mother Realized the POWER of HUMAN, The POWER of HUMANITY, the POWER of BLOOD DONATION" which was able to save someone's life. So, yes friends we may be busy all the time don't we are all humans and we need our neighbours may be not TODAY but who knows our TOMORROW.

Hence, FIND SOME TIME TO DONATE BLOOD TODAY TO SAVE SOMEONE'S TOMORROW.

To add up to this we would like to thank a few voluntary blood donor's of yesterday to helped save few people in need.

Today's Something!!..

Hmm.., they say Voluntary Blood Donation Initiative (in records) in India can be tracked back to 1942 during the time of world war II and the first blood bank was established in Kolkata.

Guys, we all know that the "National Blood Donation Day" is celebrated on 1st October of every year through "India Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohaemotology and the 1st year of celebration was held in the year 1975.

Now Yeah!!! we all know that it is celebrated on 1st October but WHY OCTOBER??!!! well, the answer is Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohaematology was first established at 22nd of October in the year 1971 under the leadership of Mrs. K. Swaroop Krishen and Dr. J.G. Jolly and thus OCTOBER got its PRIDE to be right month to follow "National Voluntary Blood Donation Day" Folks!!!....

A Few Stats on Voluntary Blood Donation!!

The world over 88 million units of blood from all sources are collected annually. The quantity is sufficient to fill 32 modern Olympic Swimming Pools but not enough for the 6,910 million world population which requires 150 million units annually. Everything is increasing and the need for safe blood is also increasing. 57 of the 193 WHO member states are able to meet their annual requirement of blood from voluntary blood donors' source including Zimbabwe.

Some countries having high levels of voluntary blood donors per 1,000 population figures are Switzerland -113/1,000, Japan -70/1,000 while for India it is 4/1,000. It is generally recommended that the equivalent of 1-3% of a country's population should donate blood to meet a country's blood needs.

Against an annual requirement of 8 million units of blood, India is able to collect only 5.6 million units of which 3 million units (56%) are from voluntary blood donors while the remaining 2.6 million units (44%) from family/replacement donors. Manipur is still lagging behind in regard to Voluntary Blood Donation.

Probably we still lack well trained good motivators. Unawareness/ignorance of the general public about voluntary blood donation and to some extent their fear and misconceptions regarding blood donation are other contributory factors. Again the Blood Transfusion Services in the State are mainly hospital based and are at different levels of management system.

In spite of the rapid and remarkable advancements in medical science today, NO FACTORY CAN MANUFACTURE BLOOD. It is only in human beings that human blood is made and circulated. Hence, DONATION - RATHER VOLUNTARY DONATION IS THE ONLY WAY OF ACCUMULATING BLOOD at safe storage to meet emergency requirements for SAVING LIVES.
