HU ( Air Handling Units ) that provide Vertical laminar air flow system in downward direction with a velocity of 90 – 120FPM ( Feet per minute),Approx. 25 – 30 air changes per air out of which 4-5 fresh air changes depending on general OT speciality OT or super speciality OT, a positive pressure within the OT area of approx. 15 pascals, air supplied through terminal HEPA filters of 99.997 % down to 0.3 microns with filtration area of 4x4 feet, 6x4 feet or 8x6 feet depending on general OT, speciality OT or super specialty OT, temperature will be maintained between 18-25 Degree C and humidity between 40 – 60 % adjustable according to thermostatic tolerance . AIRTECH can also provide OTs with UV light sterilization with or without electrostatic precipitator or cloud ion technology to enhance the sterility of the air supplied through the terminal HEPA filters. Laminar airflow is designed to move particle free air over the aseptic operating field in one direction. It can be designed to flow vertically or horizontally and is usually combined with high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters. HEPA filters remove particles > 0.3 micron in diameter with an efficiency of 99.997%. Air Handling Units:
AHU designed for OT applications will as per the room volume of any sized OT & will be of at least 2800 CFM capacity or above with a static pressure of 120mm WC or above. A fresh air filter of 10 micron rating and secondary filter of 5 micron filters are provided in the AHU itself. Blowers will be of centrifugal type with forward curved impellors driven through belt system by a heavy duty motor of 3 phase 415 volt. A set of suitably designed dampers provided for inlet and outlet ducts to regulate the supply and return air volume. Air conditioning Condensing units for the OT will be designed & incorporated, which is designed based on the OT room sizes, LAF size, no of occupants and other various parameters. Modular Operating Theatre provides you with all of the benefits associated with Modular Construction with absolutely no compromise to quality or layout. Owing to the offsite element of modular construction there is far less disruption and noise to the surrounding area. The AHU of each OT should be dedicated and should not be linked to air conditioning of any other area. During the non functional hours AHU blower will be operational round the clock (may be without temperature control). VFD devices may be used to conserve energy Window & split A/c should not be used in any type of OT because they are purely re-circulating units and have convenient pockets for microbial growth which cannot be sealed. The flooring, walls and ceiling should be non porous, smooth, seamless without corners and should be easily cleanable repeatedly. The material should be chosen accordingly
