Nice to see kids and ppl in vacation. Its mid may and sun is showings it highest ebb of shine, drinking the water from you. I intend to give you 3 tips to save your teeth during this hot time of the year.
1. Never have sticky chocolates or foodstuffs in dehydrated condition. Low saliva flow coupled with sticky food is a perfect recipe for rampant caries.
2. In additon to water and juices, encourage yourself, family and kids to consume natural watery foods like melon slices, tender coconut etc. Their fibre and high water content act to clean your teeth.
3. New places, new food and fun are essential elements in vacation. Carry a dental floss in your travel kit, to help you get rid of food impactions and consequent caries...

The summer holiday is impending and celebrations begin for kids....
The prominent part of the vacation is "tour". Hence lets have a few tips on how to take care of teeth during vacation. Its very simple...

First, keep yourself and kids in hydrated condition. Never be thirsty. This solves 50% of the problems.

Second, eat food from clean sources. Look for seasonal and local fruits...believe me, its fun...😀

Third, never forget to brush before sleeping in the night. This solves rest of the problems.

What technique to brush the teeth for children? The technique should be effective, easy to learn for kids and following it should be fun...The technique is simple. Ask them just draw circles with their brush on their teeth. Draw circles on all sides of teeth...thats it...

Many parents are concerned about kids swallowing the toothpaste...its ok..not to worry...kids' toothpastes are palatable! :-)

This diwali give them all sweets and delicacies...but remember adequate water and proper brushing...After all this is the age to enjoy...

Dental Health in Children
We say that the foundation makes the building strong. Analogously, dental health in childhood lays the foundation for healthy dentition in adulthood. This dental care begins at home. Recent days have seen a surge in the projection of intelligence of children at large. Their capability to learn and repeat have been outstanding. Hence this is the right age to educate kids about brushing and importance of oral hygiene. It should be noted that children have to brush twice daily with brushes designed for them. Common question that arises in the mind of a parent is what paste to use..:-)

Until kids turn 12,it is advised to use kids tooth paste as this contains right amount of fluoride to keep the teeth healthy and to offer decent amount of protection from dental caries. We should be aware that kids mouth are much more dynamic than the adult mouth, in terms of growth of jaws, erution of teeth, rapid change in food habits etc.
