Black seed is the common name for the seeds of the Nigella Sativa plant, which grows in Southern Europe, Middle East and Southwest Asia.

It is also known as nigella, black cumin, fennel flower, black caraway & Roman coriander.

Black Seed oil is extracted from these seeds.

There is a hadith of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) about this plant.
"There is healing in black seeds for all diseases except death"
