Another renal denervation (RDN) procedure at Apollo Main Hospital, Chennai for a 65 yr old lady with Resistant Hypertension (uncontrolled BP despite on 5 different drugs)with BP ranging around 200/100 mmHg..
Successfully underwent RDN procedure few days ago via pinhole access from the groin and discharged within 24 hrs with one BP medicine..BP after 48 hrs checked showed 130/70 mmHg..waiting to see how she progress in the next few months!

Little late post- Glad to share CHIP procedure with ELCA Laser angioplasty in 2 patients with high complexity and risk done last week..One of them had 100% blockage within an old stent done 12 yrs ago- successfully opened up and got good flow in the artery with Laser.
Another patient had critical stenosis of an old stent done 15 yrs ago with severe impairment of LV function (pumping capacity of 30%). laser angioplasty done with Intra Aortic Balloon pump (IABP) support and successfully placed new generation stent with good flow..Both patient got discharged within 48 hrs..
Glad to Host Dr Jaswindar Singh from Washington in our cath lab to discuss and guide us with these complex procedures using high resolution contrast laser..
