La Chatelaine Junior College

La Chatelaine Junior College La Chatelaine Residential Junior College is situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu It has a large operational space within distinct, well defined
parameters.

La Chatelaine Residential Junior College is situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and it is
affiliated to CBSE Board. Teachers limiting themselves to classroom instruction is an archaic philosoply Teachers are multitaskers, connected with every aspect of their ward's central, moral
and social developments La Chatelaine has evolved a Teachers' Manual to guide our staff
and elsewhere. La Chatelaine Residential Junior College Sports and Games :-
Mild obesity, juvenile diabetes and other sedentary life style diseases are now seen in
young children, mostly due to lack of regular exercise. Outdoor activity and rigorous
games are missing from our childrens daily routine. La Chatelaine tries to reverse this
trend. Physical exercises, aerobics, yoga and team games are built into the time table
and all our students should compulsorily participate in some physical activity every week. There are four physical education teachers and two games coaches and they engage the
students with professional competence. La Chatelaine has teams in all sub 18 age categories,
for cricket, Basket ball, Volley ball and Table Tennis. All schools teach. Some go a bit beyond. La Chatelaine goes a whole lot beyond. We are the only private school, certainly in Tamilnadu probably in the whole country to provide full lunch to all our students and staff without charges. We ensure all our students get nutritionally balanced food, hot from the pot, food at no cost to their parents. Every working day La Chatelaines kitchen serves 3000 Lunches. This, we have been doing for decades and God willing, hope to do so for ever. This is the first school to totally computerise teaching of all subjects in the primary section in the year 1998. We placed thirty networked monitors in each classroom of thirty students. All lessons for classes I to V were burned into CDs and using dedicated servers, the lessons were run real time in every childs monitor and through the Smart Boards. There are thirty digitized classrooms with the equipments installed by HCL. The lessons were conceived from texts, internet and material generated throughout the English speaking world. The audio was done by our teachers.
