What if I say we can diet @ dome?

Eat right yet feed the body in the right posture.

Wonder why Japanese are much healthier, one of the many reasons is sitting on the ground and eating, the very old traditional way of sitting on the floor cross legged, relishing the food on banana leaves or stainless steel plates.

Unfortunately we get carried away by the fancy dining chairs laid decoratively in the dining hall is a part of every Morden home now. We have forgotten the old ways we used to sit down cross legged by laying the mat on the floor and serving the food in banana leaves or stainless steel plates. The ladies/gents serving the food bending every time, involves interpersonal bonding, all the while enjoying the delicacies prepared, exchanging ideas and thus the bonding over the food happens aesthetically.

While we sit cross legged to eat, the position itself is like performing an asana called Sukhasana

what happened to us ? Why did we leave such easily doable age old customs way back.

This asana we used to do almost daily many a times. While sitting and getting up say we do two squats and the very posture helps the body relax!

The cross legged postures helps in better blood circulation, so does our heart functions better.

This way of eating, every time we take the food in our fist, mix it with our hand increases the taste, process of taking the fistful towards our mouth, we bending forward simultaneously to take the mouthful, this movement itself improves the mobility of our hips and ankles. This way digestive enzyme gets synthesised early and helps effective digestion.

It also helps us to maintain a good posture, brings flexibility in the joints, relaxes the mind and bring calmness, humbleness.

May be this trend be followed once again and becomes habitual. May we all try eat atleast twice a week with the family members creating a better bonding.

Let's sit back, eat to relish and relax, be fit as well.

by following the old traditional way of sitting on the floor cross legged!

Dinning chairs laid decoratively around the carved or well designed dining table in the dining hall is a part of every Morden home. We have forgotten the way we used to sit down cross legged by laying the mat on the floor and serving the food in banana leaves or stainless steel plates. The lady serving the food bending every time! While we sit cross legged to eat, the position itself is like performing an anasana of yoga. While sitting and getting up say we do two squats and also posture helps the body relax! The cross legged postures helps in better blood circulation, so does heart does a better task!

This way of eating let's the digestive enzyme gets synthesised early and effectively while we bend forward for our fistful and go backward while having our mouthful.

It also helps us to maintain a good posture, Brings flexibility in the joints, relaxes the mind and bring calmness, humbleness.

May be this trend can be started again once or at least twice a week with the family members creating a better bonding.

Gifting the old ways...!

We tend to get gifts as chocolates,.. artefacts... dresses or crystals and the most candle stands are common.. many a times it does depend on the kind of occasions or theme we get to attend.. it can be jus some artificial flowers, fresh bouquet or a bottle of wine... etc!

My concern is about the perishable ready to eat oneness like chocolates...I agree chocolates are unavoidable during birthday parties or easier to gift children!

Yes Most of us have reduced the intake of chocolates for various reasons. Many for the abvious empty calories it gives, however many started discarding... due to the pictorial evidence we keep seeing yeah the wormed ones!

So do make sure 'your young ones..should unwrap them in front of you and consume! To avoid eating such damaged product!

Now coming to the point!

Do you remember those where the days, when we used to go to visit friends or relatives not just the hospitals, we usually carry bagfullof fresh fruits ! Or mom and grand mas making home made snacks!

The custom has almost vanished these days...Is it gone because it looks below dignified / cheap to give away for some Of the healthiest nutrients to your loved ones or the fresh snacks to share with your loved ones!

Or we just wanna reshuffle all the received ( some unwanted ) gifts collected over a period of time to others during these kinds visits or dinners!

If you really want your friends to remember you for different and spl gifts... give them anything with love there is no restrictions on the kind... with a pack of love and care! Add new flavour by adding and redoing the package, jus do not pack the same torn and worn out ones! Respect the person who is putting some efforts for you especially!

Much easier solutions to you, you can gift such articles during departing times during the farewell parties thrown for you! I remember some very sweat ladies, who had gone to every house saying good buy... giving away bful gifts of departure!

But there is nothing which can beat in reintroducing the fruits as done...years ago! Do choose the fruits depending on kinds of age group of the family.. juicy or pulpy ones for the aged and and young crunchy and raw ones for the young kids ... and can add some dry fruits as well !

Sharing the healthier nutrients is caring in the dietetics way!

Healthy way for gifting!
