Nibbana India

Nibbana India Nibbana offers counseling and therapy sessions for Individuals & corporate companies

Nibbana was born about a decade ago from the conscious love of one man who understood that when the human potential is unleashed, miracles can happen. Human potential that is trapped by past conditioning, limits the individual from experiencing true happiness, and it is in this area that Geethan wanted to make a difference and so his love child ‘NIBBANA’ was born, which in the ancient language of Pali means ‘liberation from past conditioning’.

A day at Nibbana, as it unfolds.

Doors opening, light coming in.
Coffee in hand, conversations beginning.
Discussions that stretch, pauses that settle.
Books finding their place, people finding theirs.
And in between it all – moments of ease, of just being.

Not every part of the journey is loud or defined. Some of it looks like this – slow, steady, shared.

Ten years of NICCS — not just a milestone, but a journey shaped by people, conversations, classrooms, and everything that has unfolded along the way.

This celebration was a small pause in that journey — a moment to come together, share laughter, cut a cake, and simply enjoy the togetherness that has been at the heart of Nibbana from the very beginning. Moments like these remind us that what we’ve built is more than a course — it’s a community that continues to hold, support, and grow with each batch that walks through these doors.

Here’s to the people, the memories, and everything that lies ahead. 💛

P.S. The cake was baked with love by our alumnus, Shaktipriya. Thank you for one of the yummiest cakes EVER!

NICCS Batch 8 spent two vibrant days with Sasi Vijayan exploring Expressive Arts Therapy, a space where creativity becomes a doorway to reflection, connection, and understanding.

Through colours, movement, music, and shared moments of play, the classroom slowly transformed into a canvas of experiences — reminding us that sometimes expression goes beyond words. The laughter, songs, and artwork that filled the room were all part of discovering how creative processes can open new pathways in therapeutic work.

At NICCS, modules like these invite trainees to experience different ways of understanding people and emotions, guided by practitioners who bring their own unique approaches into the learning space. It’s in these moments of exploration, curiosity, and joy that the journey of becoming a counsellor continues to unfold.

Along the Gratitude Trails, we come to another voice that has quietly shaped the NICCS journey over the years.

Raguram has been a part of the programme as a faculty member, bringing his calm, patient presence into the classroom. Through his sessions on roles, games, and the patterns that shape human interaction, he invites trainees to observe more carefully and understand people with greater awareness.

We remain grateful for the steady role he continues to play in NICCS and for the thoughtful ways his teaching reflects in the learning and growth of our trainees.

This Women’s Day, we celebrate the many dimensions of being a woman.

The ability to care deeply and also stand firmly. To listen with empathy and speak with conviction. To move with gentleness, and when needed, with strength and clarity.

Wholeness isn’t about choosing one way of being over another. It’s about holding all of it — compassion and courage, reflection and resolve — and allowing them to exist together.

Here’s to women who continue to expand what it means to show up fully in the world. 💛

NICCS Batch 8 spent four engaging days with Dr. Veena Easvaradoss, exploring the DSM and learning the JPMR technique — two important elements that support counsellors in understanding and working with mental health concerns.

The DSM offers a framework to recognise and understand different psychological conditions, while JPMR (Jacobson’s Progressive Muscle Relaxation) introduces a practical way of helping clients manage stress and anxiety through guided relaxation of the body.

With her years of experience in clinical and counselling psychology, Dr. Veena brings both depth and warmth into the classroom, helping trainees approach these subjects with clarity, curiosity, and care.

Moments like these are a reminder of what NICCS aims to offer — not just knowledge, but thoughtful learning guided by experienced practitioners who continue to shape the journey of each batch.

Along the Gratitude Trails, we pause to acknowledge people who have walked with NICCS from its very beginnings.

Mr. Suriyaprakash has been associated with the course since its inception, supporting the journey in many roles over the years — as faculty, examiner, and a trusted guide to the programme. As an instructor, he brings clarity and depth to the classroom, helping trainees understand the structures that shape meaningful counselling work.

We remain grateful for his continued presence, generosity, and the many ways he has contributed to the growth of NICCS over the years.

Our next stop along the Gratitude Trails brings us to one of the very first classrooms our trainees step into.

Anjana has been a steady presence in NICCS, teaching the foundations psychology and counselling — with a calmness that sets the tone for the year ahead. For many trainees, she is among the first faculty they encounter, and her grounded, reassuring approach often becomes the anchor that eases them into the journey.

At NICCS, every faculty member shapes the course in their own way. From foundational theories to deeper explorations, our faculty are practicing professionals who bring lived experience, warmth, and clarity into the space. It is this collective strength that has carried NICCS forward over the last ten years.

We’re grateful for Anjana’s presence on this path, and for the many ways she continues to shape the beginnings of every new batch.

Some journeys begin quietly — with conversations, shared ideas, and the courage to build something from the ground up.

Dr. Veena Easvaradoss has been part of NICCS from its very inception, walking alongside Anu and Geethan in shaping the course in its earliest days. Over the years, she has continued to guide and strengthen the programme as a faculty member, offering both structure and depth to the learning journey.

With over 25 years of experience in clinical and counselling psychology, and advanced training from NIMHANS, Bangalore, Dr. Veena brings rigour, clarity, and grounded wisdom into every space she holds. A former Head of the Department of Psychology at Women’s Christian College, Chennai, she has mentored generations of students — and continues to mentor counsellors with the same generosity and insight.

As we trace ten years of NICCS, we remain deeply grateful for her vision, her steady presence, and the enduring impact she has had on shaping this course and the counsellors who emerge from it.
