This notification is a Public Notice from the National Medical Commission (NMC), Coordination Division, dated May 10, 2025.

𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 :

This draft framework, developed by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) under the National Medical Commission (NMC), outlines a system for the accreditation and ranking of all medical colleges regulated by the NMC. The process is intended to be carried out through an independent third-party agency.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 :

📌Comprehensive Criteria: The Draft Framework for Accreditation and Ranking of Medical Colleges comprises a total of 11 criteria and 78 parameters for assessment.
📌Third-Party Assessment: The accreditation and ranking will be conducted by an independent third-party agency to ensure impartiality and objectivity.
📌Patient Feedback Integration: The framework includes a component for rating based on patient feedback, collecting data from major clinical departments (Medicine and allied specialties, Surgery and allied specialties, Obstetrics & Gynaecology) on parameters such as:
→ Quality of Health Care Professional (Faculty of Clinical Departments, Residents)
→ Attitude of Hospital Staff towards patients
→ Measures for Hygiene and sanitation in Hospital
→ Quality of Hospital Facility

The Directorate General of Health Services, Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (Biological Division), has issued a Notice dated May 6, 2025, inviting comments on the "Revised Guidelines on Similar Biologics- Regulatory requirements for Marketing Authorization in India, 2025."

These guidelines aim to ensure that similar biologics introduced into the Indian market meet stringent standards for quality, safety, and efficacy, aligning with global regulatory best practices.

Cut-off Timeline for Public Comments: June 6th 2025

The window for submitting comments and suggestions will close within 30 days of the draft guidelines being published on the CDSCO website (May 6, 2025)

Stakeholders are advised to submit their feedback to biological@cdsco.nic.in in a Word document, using the annexed format, as there will be minimal scope for changes once the document is finalized.

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:

This circular extends the deadline for medical device companies to submit their self-declaration and disclose marketing expenditure for the financial year ending March 31, 2025. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟯𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱
