This draft framework, developed by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) under the National Medical Commission (NMC), outlines a system for the accreditation and ranking of all medical colleges regulated by the NMC. ๐Comprehensive Criteria: The Draft Framework for Accreditation and Ranking of Medical Colleges comprises a total of 11 criteria and 78 parameters for assessment.
๐Third-Party Assessment: The accreditation and ranking will be conducted by an independent third-party agency to ensure impartiality and objectivity.
๐Patient Feedback Integration: The framework includes a component for rating based on patient feedback, collecting data from major clinical departments (Medicine and allied specialties, Surgery and allied specialties, Obstetrics & Gynaecology) on parameters such as:
โ Quality of Health Care Professional (Faculty of Clinical Departments, Residents)
โ Attitude of Hospital Staff towards patients
โ Measures for Hygiene and sanitation in Hospital
โ Quality of Hospital Facility
