Rotary Club of Adambakkam inaugurated Adam's Vegetable garden on 29th july 2022 at AJS Nidhi School in the presence of Chief guest Rtn. S N Balasubramaniam (Dist chairman - Environment 2022-23) and Guest of Honour Rtn. Sreekumar Krishnan (Dist Chairman - Public Image 2022-23).. Special thanks to all RCA members who were present for this inauguration...

The produce of this garden will be used for the 80 school children fed through Nutritional Noon meal scheme in operation.

Chennai, July 08, 2022:
Rotary Club of Adambakkam together with District Arts & Culture team organised a program through Drawing "SUTHAM" among students of AJS Nidhi School. The drawing competition was held on Wednesday, the 6th July 2022, which would create awareness of clean Environment. The prize Distribution function was organized in the School premises on the 8th July 2022. Rtn Selvakumar, District Youth Service Director was the Chief Guest and Rtn. Girija Raghavan District Arts & Culture team Chairman was the guest of honour. The students were given the opportunity to coordinate and conduct the entire event, which gave them an opportunity in organizing such events. President Rtn Jaya Ganesh, Secretary Rtn Venkat, Dist. Additional Chairman our Charter President Rtn Malathi, Director Youth Service Rtn Meenakshi and Environment Chairman Rtn Latha, Principal of PMS School participated in this function on behalf of Rotary Club of Adambakkam.

Chennai, July 07, 2022:
Rotary Club of Adambakkam along with District Women Empowerment team organised a training program "KUSHI" for teaching students in making garlands and other accessories, which would enhance their creativity. Rtn Vasanthi Ranganathan, District Chairman Career Guidance was the chief guest and Rtn. Sharadha Sundaram District Chairman for Women Empowerment was the guest of honour. Rtn. Bina Boaz sponsored the training conducted by the trainer, Mrs. Deepa Saravanan. The training was conducted for the children of PMS Matriculation hr. Sec.
School at their school premises. The students were given the opportunity to coordinate and conduct the entire event, which gave them an opportunity for public speaking and management. President Rtn Jaya Ganesh, Secretary Rtn Venkat, Charter President Rtn Malathi, Women Empowerment Chair Rtn Subasree, Director Club Service Rtn Karpagambal, Environment Chair and principal of PMS School Rtn Latha participated in this function on behalf of Rotary Club of Adambakkam.

Rtn JAYA GANESH - NEW PRESIDENT FOR RCA

Chennai, July 03, 2022:
A function was organised by Rotary Club of Adambakkam, towards the 6th installation of its New President and the Board for the Rotary year 2022 -2023. The outgoing president Varadarajan welcomed the gathering after lighting of kuthuvilakku by the District first lady and others. The District Governor Dr. Nandakumar was the Chief guest. The outgoing Secretary gave a presentation of what has happened during his tenure. Collar exchange marked installation of Rtn. Jaya Ganesh as the 6th President and the 3rd woman President of the Rotory Club of Adambakkam. Outgoing Secratary Rtn. Suresh handed over the Charter to the Incoming Secretary Rtn. Venkat. The introduction of the New President was given by Rtn Dr. Amruth Ganesh. Rtn. Jaya Ganesh gave an inspiring acceptance speech. Pinning of New Board Members and PHF members and recognition of TRF contributors. This was followed by recognition of donators to a tune of 1610 $ to the TRF fund and the cheques were handed over to the District Governor. Rtn Dr. Nandakumar gave an excellent thought provoking speech.

Chennai, July 01, 2022:
Rotary club of Adambakkam organized Menstrual Hygiene awareness programs at its Interact School AJS Nidhi School on 01.07.2022 at 14.30 hrs. The Chief guest was Rtn Malli Srinivas, Chairman MHH of RID 3232. The Director Health Rtn. Mohini and Rtn. Mini were also present. Rtn. Jaya Ganesh, President RCA welcomed the gathering. Invocation, Introduction of the Chief guest and emcee were done by the school students.Chief guest explained the importance of Menstrual hygiene and requested the students to follow up. Proctor & Gamble demonstrated with video on usage of sanitary napkins and distributed to the students. RC Adambakkam distributed Sanitary napkins to 150 girls. Secretary Announcements and Vote of thanks were given by Rtn. Venkatraman, the Secretary. The Director Community Health, Rtn. Amruth Ganesh, Rtn. Ganesh and Rtn. Karpagambal attended the event.
