About World Health Day
World Health Day was established by the WHO in 1950. Since then, it has focused on different health themes yearly to raise awareness about global health issues and promote healthier living worldwide. This year's theme is "Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures."

Mass Metabolic Syndrome Screening (M2S2)
Commemorating World Health Day, which falls on 7th April each year, considering this year's theme, a unique health initiative to the public, namely M2S2 ( Mass Metabolic Syndrome Screening ), to enable timely identification, treatment and prevention of Metabolic Syndrome, has been launched by Padma Shri Awardee, Dr T.S. Chandrasekar, Founder, Chairman & Chief Interventional Gastroenterologist, MedIndia Hospitals, Nungambakkam, Chennai, Founder and Managing Trustee of MedIndia Charitable Trust, on Monday, the 7th April, 2025. A Hashtag and Weblink for a Public Awareness Program and project on Screening and early treatment of Metabolic Syndrome (MetS) to prevent attended consequences have been released.
