In July 2024, little Anishwer Paul fell ill with a persistent fever. After multiple tests showed no answers, an ultrasound and CT scan revealed a large liver tumour — hepatoblastoma.

Searching for hope, his family found Prof. Mohamed Rela online and came to Rela Hospital in September. Under the care of Dr. Naresh, Dr. Jagadeesh Menon, and Dr. Suresh RD, and with the guidance of Prof. Rela, they began chemotherapy while preparing for a possible transplant.

After 7 critical hours in surgery, Prof. Rela successfully performed a hepatectomy, and a transplant was no longer needed. Today, after further chemotherapy, Anishwer has fully recovered and is out of danger.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Prof. Rela and his team, including Dr Naresh P Shanmugam, Dr.Jagadeesh Menon, Dr. Suresh RD, and Sister Jebarani, whose care and guidance made the journey less daunting. They also thank Mr. Mohammed Farouk for his support, along with every member of the hospital family who played a part in Anishwer’s recovery.

Rahamath from Villupuram was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst. Initially told that a laparoscopy might turn into open surgery due to the cyst’s size, she was understandably anxious.

At Rela Hospital, she met Dr. Gayathri Devi, Clinical Director – Institute of Reproductive Medicine, who patiently listened to her concerns and assured her that there was no need to fear laparoscopy. She suggested robotic laparoscopy, offering a clearer view and safer outcome.

The surgery was performed the very next day, and within a week, Rahamath was back on her feet, feeling completely well.
